Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Have you actually added Ooer?
I have on the fail forums and it took me like a week to figure things out.
Did you just reply to..
Are you secretly diff?

I'm putting a to-do list in the first post so I can keep track.

BBCode bar and Quick Quote are added!
Now you can search for posts made by unmerged users!

I'm pretty sure Buzz put somewhere a list for all the smileys, before the eeforumify forums had the 1[smileynamehere]1 filter. (I hope that's the right usage of filter)
If possible, could you find it and sticky it in Forum Discussion?
(Or I could make my own, but it's so much easier to just find one [I hope] than to make my own, I don't have all the smileys. :I)

You had one job...
I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

Yeah those are possible. I think we already have a  smiley over at fail that we could reuse here but we might want to use EE style smilies for the forums instead.
']
yeah, use the EE smileys for this forums.

Smiles can either be added in 1smiley1 form or with a kind of thing like the rest of the FluxBB smilies. I'll probably replace the FluxBB smilies with ee equivalents anyway so.
Polls are possible.
Not enough consensus on what form rep should take to avoid drama. Then again, these forums feed off of drama.

I do like Facebook's system of simply liking posts, similar to how XenForo handles things. I'd suggest only being able to give + votes to certain posts, no - votes. Also the post's rep value would only count for that specific vote. Profiles wouldn't track exactly how many + votes you got, as that leads to people getting greedy for internet points. Also yeah, if this gets implemented we pretty much have to call them woots.
Basically just individual post reputation that can only go up, and doesn't get tracked by your profile. So many times I'll see a post that I really like, but I have nothing to show I like it other than quoting it and saying nothing productive at all.

Yep, +1 <insert unproductive text here>

What about the commenting aspect of rep? That's the other thing that I personally found very useful. You could leave feedback on posts without saying something on the topic and while still keeping it publicly viewable. It'd probably need to be separate from the +1 part of posts tho since comments aren't always encouraging/approving. If you were suggesting to someone who was posting in blinding and unnecessary colors that they could tone it down a bit, you really wouldn't want to have that attached to a +1.

that's possible, just user =/= posts, unless you wanna redditify this and have a total post rep tracked on profile and user rep tracked on profile, as different things
ayy 1000 posts lmao
well on really old eeforums i had 1,700+ posts
no big deal

Thanks mod is added, forum smilies have been changed to EE smilies but will have some displaying glitches until both CloudFlare and your computer have cleared their caches. CloudFlare's cache takes an hour to update so it shouldn't be long.

CloudFlare updated its cache. If you're still seeing a tower of smilies on the quick quote box, hit Ctrl+F5.

Could we rename "thanks" to "woots"? Gotta be appropriate to the game we're discussing.

I wasn't here for the initial forum downtime, just the vague-ish error messages afterwards. What exactly broke/was fixed recently?
I hate tall signatures.

Like it says in the topic about it, I was just doing some tidying up around the server to make things a little easier to work around when a typo turned an ordinary command into a killing machine. Many, many things were messed up because of my little typo, but I was able to get copies of all important files, and quite a few unimportant ones as well, and nothing of value was lost. As far as I can tell, it was just some time, a small chunk of my sanity, and the update I made this morning that changed "Thanks" to "Woods".
