Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Montana Ban on Skin Tight Clothing

http://billingsgazette.com/news/governm … e9398.html

Associated Press wrote:

"The proposal would expand indecent exposure law to include any nipple exposure, including men’s, and any garment that “gives the appearance or simulates” a person’s buttocks, genitals, pelvic area or female nipple.

The Republican from Missoula said tight-fitting beige clothing could be considered indecent exposure under his proposal.

“Yoga pants should be illegal in public anyway,” Moore said after the hearing."

The problem I think with nudity in culture is that we treat it like some sort of taboo. I am, personally, not a fan of excessive nudity, but I do believe people should have the right to wear what makes them comfortable, provided they are in an appropriate environment.

IE: One should not wear a bikini to work, unless you are a model, because it's a disruption to working environment. But in public, if one so wishes to wear a bikini (even guys) it should be up to the discretion of the person wearing it.

That being said, I vehemently disagree with the Bare as you Dare movement as well, as it promotes the declination of societal values. By agreeing to live in a society, one must always give up some part of their freedom, and part of that is giving up the right to be nude. That is why there are laws against indecent exposure. I know I would not want to wake up to the sight and sound of misguided and indecent motorcyclists.

I suppose the opinion really depends on your opinion on clothing and decency in comparison to societal values. I just personally thing if one is in public they should cover up at least their private parts. (With the exception of boobs, because I don't really care boobs. If men don't have to wear shirts at beaches and on hot summer days why should woman?)

Discuss.

First of all bless you.
Second of all, it's quite interesting to see that nipple exposure includes men's nipples. I was expecting this to be some sort of sexist article against women when I saw the title. It's quite equal, but I personally don't agree with that. They're just nipples. I don't see that as indecent exposure at all.
If this were to do with covering up only women's nipples, that'd be a different story. If it's something to do with protecting the children or whatever, it's only natural that kids see boobs anyways: breastfeeding.
I really don't get how nipples are a part of indecent exposure at all, but it's refreshing to see some equality.
Imo the only parts involved in indecent exposure are private parts and what's on the other side of them. No one really wants to see that in public; it's pretty disgusting.
As for skin tight clothing, I get the reason behind that. It rather shows off more than covers up, lmao. You're seeing it even though you're not. I'm not sure I'd place a ban on it, as I suppose it's more awkward than anything, but I don't know what I'd do, nor could I explain my thought process behind it.

Re: Montana Ban on Skin Tight Clothing

@Anak: I've definitely seen cases were skin tight clothing goes wrong, but I don't think that's any reason to ban it. Like I think it's gross when people are overweight, but they wear pants so tight their flab is sticking out of the front of their shirt. Or I've seen larger guys with man boobs wear tight shirts where you can see their nipples.

But that's their choice. I'm not gonna tell them how to dress. I just choose to look away, because that's my opinion and not necessarily anyone elses.
