Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

hey
another question....last time in my server (with a password) a smily with a yellow border joined
he was in noclip and could edit too!!
WTF IS THAT!! A HACKER OR SOMTHING??!!
veyX
may be he know your password ( a friend ? )
no...impossible...
but how he could get NOCLIP??!!!
i was in a server with a big blue labyrinth
it was very big an the owner of this server had worked long for this....
SUDDENLY!
a smily with noclip DESTROYED EVERYTHNG!
he wrote the code...everybode was editing...
the hacker wrote a message: YOU GOT HACKED
WTF!!!!!!!???
a, so its a hacker ... and to enable the no clip press G only in server with password
OMG!
THX!!! ;D
yeah, the hax are destroying the game
Most likely, they were able to guess the password using a dictionary attack. To avoid having your level hacked, try to use long and complex codes that use a combination of letters and numbers! They can't actually edit your level without the key.
Or there might be a serious exploit in the password checking routine. Is the password checking process *safe*?
100%, trust me. To obtain a password without a dictionary attack and without simply asking the person for it, you'd need to intercept outgoing packets from the user's computer or physically hack the server itself, which is not very easy. Chris put a lot of time into securing this stuff!
Then a flood control/amount of password fails should be controlled. Bruteforcing should be prevented, or add a silly CAPTCHA.
...or just don't pick a really weak password
Or just add a ban system...
That wouldn't do any good if the password was exposed, the "hacker" could just ban other editors.
I mean the creator of the server would be the only one able to ban people.
But If the editor Is kicked out, who would have the ban thing then?
And, how would the game remember the original creator of that level?
On my saved levels when I just enter them I never actually type in a code so the code is 'void' (that's what I like to call it) so there is no code. I think it's impossible for anyone but me to edit if there is no code.

This. Just because you think only people you know will be there (I.e. you gave them the link and named it something obscure), that doesn't make it true.
I hate tall signatures.

Another gravedig? That's a week ban now. :/
