Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

What is the maximum file size allowed for an animated gif in a signature?
Edit:
I ask because I'm about to finalize the new GIF I made, and I want to know how much I have to compress it.
256 colors = 5 MB
16 colors = 1.75 MB

Oh, for a signature you only have to compress it down to ? Terrabytes. There is no limit, because it isn't hosted on this site, but there probably should be a limit before someone tries to make things slow down for loading. It might get stuck loading that single graphic for a long time. if you can set it to 128 im sure that will be fine.

128 colors is 4.5 MB for this GIF. I guess I'll compress it more if people complain.
Sounds good. *mental lock*

Your mental lock isn't working. We need Chewy or some other mod/admin
