How to put a signature

I want to put my new signature. I saved it as a JPEG, and then opened it on a internet tab. Then I took the link and put it in my signature with the proper code, but all that shows up is the link. How do I put my picture as my signature??

1. Upload to http://imgur.com/
2. Grab url with   tags
3. press control c
4. go to signature page
5. click inside the box
6. press control v
7. hit submit
