Why does my Energy Keep Resting?

OKay so I was playing Spent some energy one Portal block played a level and I have full energy again and no energy spent on portal block :/

Unfortunately it doesn't stack up with the other energy you spend :3

Really annoying..

I spent my energy, Shut down Google chrome came back like 3 hours later.. And it was full and did not stack.. :/
