Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Ok I hate to make another thread about this, but I needed to get my thoughts out in an orderly fashion...
The main issue today is the diamond block. The 100 buck one. The terribly over priced one. The block that is causing un order.
I get tht that block is terribly overpriced, but you all HAVE to understand where Chris is coming from. He is only human. Isn't he allowed to make mistakes?? Imagine yourself in his position, trying to appease thousands of users dEMANDING an update, giving them one, and including an exclusive block that users have the OPTION (key word) of buying, and then, on top of it all, his game gets hacked, and all hell breaks loose.
Now us whining doesn't help anything, does it? There is really nothing we can do except voice our opinions CALMLY and wait for Chris to fix the result of the hacking attempt. Until then, there Is really nothing we or he can do anyway. So threads like "why Chris is an idiot" and "this has gone to far" are unnessesary and truely very annoying
So please everyone, calm down and just wait a little bit. I'm sure Chris is working on this problem right now. After all, it's just a block!!!
There, that's my opinion on this matter...good day.

2 Words: Thank You. People have to seriously stop spazzing out and instead enjoy the update of the portals that we got. Hopefully, Chris will fix this soon.

So what if nothing changes?
That is a very unlikely outcome. For one thing, Chris has to re work some aspects of the game anyways because the winners of the contest lost their prizes.. (cries)..
But mainly what I was saying is that we can't freak out over this. We have to wait for him to finish fixing the hack attempt, then voice our calm opinions. He will definitly take some course of action, judging on how he has handled these situations in the past.

If it's too expensive don't buy it. End of story. No one "needs" it so get over it. It's just another over-priced item used to make people believe if they don't have "everything" they are not good. You do not need all blocks to be good. You do not need the diamond to be awesome. Just let it go.
I bet half the people who whine about the block, don't even really want it to decorate, but just to "have" it and show-off. And I think that is the lamest excuse to pay $50 or $100 for a block.
Amen. I agree 100%

This is a moment in EE history happening right now folks. Its like a war between Chris and everybody else.

No. It isn't a war, it's people freaking out over nothing.
If it was a war, it would be the spazzes against Chris and everyone else.. Cough cough....

Hahaha. KARMA.
People who won the contest got so happy then lost their prizes and felt depressed.
People who lost felt depressed then got happy because the winners lost their prizes.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Ikr tho that's not really karma, but watever.. Rpg said Chris is working to get us our prizes back.. Or at least he better be....

Really, you can't call it a war because Chris never actually reads the forums... He has no idea what's going on in here unless RPGMaster2000 told him about it.

If he makes 5,000 bucks a month on this (60,000 dollars a YEAR, about the same as my mom and dad combined) You think he wouldn't need donations. And my parents can feed 3 kids through this.
I mean seriously, I wouldn't be so mad if it updated more either, but he did put "NO MORE GEM ONLY ITEMS" after the big spender fiasco.

The reason the Diamond Block makes me upset is because it seems like just the start of more gems-only items. Chris can make really lame items such as the Big Spender and Diamond, and make tons of money off of them. Before the introduction of gems-only items, Chris needed to make cool items that people would want to spend gems on instead of energy. Now he can get away with stupid items because people are willing to fork out money for them. This encourages the production of these gems-only items, which alienates the rest of the players as he creates more. That seems to be what's going on now. People bought the Big Spender, so Chris realized he was on to something. Now he creates the Diamonds. People buy them. Yes, admittedly less people are buying the Diamonds, but he makes more money off of each one that people buy. Instead of spending time working on an update that everyone wants, he makes something that will make him money, but certainly isn't what anyone asked for. Is the general user base happy with Diamonds? No. Is Chris making money off of diamonds? Yes. I could care less about actually having the Diamonds. There are other reasons why people are upset with them.

I back this 99%
See, THAT is a good respnse right there... What i am against is the threads flaming Chris. Also the idea that people can freak out at Chris and expect him to do something immediatly
but as to what you said supa, I agree completely.. Gems only items are quite honestly only a plot to get money..

Flaming isn't going to get people anywhere. While adding Diamonds was seemingly an act of greed, there are better ways to deal with problems such as these. I kind of think it's funny how there's, like, ten different Diamond-related topics.
EDIT: I think it'd be cool if we could somehow set up a chat with Chris. We get a small group of mature forum members to discuss the addition of gems-only items with Chris. Even if it's a short discussion. Just so we can voice the opinion of the players. I'm sure RPG's going to confront him about this ordeal, too. If he still doesn't change his mind, a chat about gems-only items could do a lot of good, even if it meant compromising. As unrealistic as a chat sounds, Chris might be willing to chat with us if he sees how big a deal this has become.
