Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

From an evolutionary standpoint, I completely agree, but that's not what I was referring to. I was talking about the social aspect where sexuality shouldn't factor in to anything regarding your social status and relationships.

TGT, you're behind a couple of pages, I already said that ;D

And RPG, does that mean you have two fathers? I would be intersted to hear your upbringing if that is so.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

My father's an open homosexual, so I've always managed to have first-person insight into how most of them live, think and feel about this subject. Suffice to say, it's eye-opening.

That kinda explains everything about what your saying in this topic, but still, why you say that most of them are depressed? I get that there idiots that got something against gay's but that doesn't make them depressed? I have a cousin that is gay and so far I know hes always happy. But it can also come because here in The Netherlands gay as first get accepted

Have you seen the Jim Carrey movie "I Love You, Phillip Morris"? Watch everything up until the part where he tells his wife he's gay and stop there. That's my dad's story, minus the car crash.

I didn't say that, it was simply a response to TGT saying that most homosexuals he's met are depressed.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

My 'belief' is that humans need to do a few things before they die. One of those is reproduce. For whatever reason, whether it be evolution or God, there are two sexes. There are two and only two for one reason and one reason only, to reproduce. As I'm sure you can figure out, homosexuals cannot reproduce therefor they do not donate as much as they could to the world's well-being.

Actually homosexuality performed a very critical role for early mankind. Since homosexuals do not produce children, they can not only reduce the strain on limited food supplies as was typically the case with in times long ago, but they can also help raise the children of others freeing up more precious time for all of the adults.

Homosexuals have always been a smaller percentage of the population compared to heterosexuals, so the fear of everyone becoming homosexual and no one reproducing is unfounded.

Additionally, if all that matters is to reproduce, then marriage and love are meaningless and hence should be disregarded. The fact that humans are complex and conscious individuals highly suggests there is much more to life than reproduction.

Reproduction is not the only reason humans exist, rather one of the many reasons.

^ Well, it's off topic. There is no limit as can what should and shouldn't go in the Off-topic section.

I understand there are a lot of immature people on this game. I also know there are a lot of responsible people who play this game, as well. I'm more interested in their opinions then a child's.

The world's well-being depends on reproduction? Not anymore. In fact, there's a fast approaching overpopulation epidemic. Huh.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

I think you and I are a little too uneducated to go on about overpopulation.

If you have thoroughly studied the population of planet earth and would like to explain to me how we are overpopulated, I'd be glad.

But as far as I'm concerned that is no reason to stop.

You've just undermined your previous argument. If reproduction is just one of many reasons, then it follows that some humans could easily fulfill these other reasons without needing to reproduce. Trying to claim that all people must follow all reasons for existence is just silly.

If some people wish not to reproduce, whether they are a heterosexual or homosexual couple, then there are a myriad of other ways they can contribute to mankind each as essential as reproduction.

Ok, TGT does a lot better job at explaining this then I do.

TheGreenTroll wrote:

My words may not have been that, but that was what I was trying to get at.

Like I said earlier, I have a hard time explaining myself most of the time.

Bee, I'm not ignoring you either. Overpopulation does not define what we should and should not do. I do not believe in a thing called "overpopulation epidemic". Nature has always been balanced. Just because there's this new species that knows how to build complex things and speak isn't going to change that.

Have you ever noticed how the average human lifespan has decreased? Not america, around the world. We have so many diseases - cancer, for example - killing millions of people per year.

Whatever the reason, I think nature has balanced itself for thousands of years. What will end this world is the offset of this balance, not 'overpopulation'.

Actually, Tako, what TGT completely counters what you said before.

If you have trouble expressing yourself, perhaps try reading your posts a few times over as if from another's point of view before pressing submit.

Like I said earlier, I have a hard time explaining myself most of the time.

This has been addressed twice by me at this point, but I will reiterate. I have always agreed that from an evolutionary standpoint, this is an accurate assessment. However, arguing about extreme hypothetical situations is always gonna be very fruitless since it's never ever going to happen. The point of view I've constantly been talking about is the one that is based on people's morals and values regarding this issue.

Instead of arguing about impossible scenarios, how about we address reality instead?

^ Did you know it's been known to cause deformations?

Reality? People do what they want and it's always right in their eyes.

You're right, there is no 'homosexuality is right or wrong', it's all a matter of opinion.

I've had to fight that accusation my entire life, just because my hair is a little bit longer.

That, and I think society has labelled males and females. If you do not fulfill their expectations then you're obviously gay.

Trust me, if I can argue against something for 5 pages on a forum, I'm not it. Whatever the topic.

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

God didn't make humans for homosexuality.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

^ Yeah, but we can't involve religion because not everyone believes in it.

Chewy:
'Sex for pleasure' is something ridiculous invented by humans and a few species of primate.

If you just think about it for a second, if nature 'allowed' gay sex, why would it significantly raise the risk of AIDS or HIV?
