Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Haha. You, pandapoo, are smart. I have! But, it was a mutual agreement.

And even if it wasn't mutual I would've liked it because she was getting to be a drama queen.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

More likely is that he is going through   his "identity crisis" stage and feels the need to challenge all arguments in order to find what eh considers to be "right"

RPG: Not seeking happiness is only one half my theory. The other half was making others happy.

We need a scenario to explain this.

BEE: I wouldn't say and identification crisis. Hurricane sent me some rather... homosexual PM's which got me thinking about why someone would like that.

I question everything in life. It's my job. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

I once got some vaguely homosexually themed PMs from Linus21, no joke. It was disturbing.

EDIT: The censor made it even better. >_>

Homosexuality are in my opinion unnatural, I do also find homosexual people as very misanthropic.

Gee, I wonder why. Maybe because they all need to constantly endure the insults being thrown at them by pretty much every person around them and rejected by their peers, simply because of something as meaningless as their sexuality?

It's such a mystery why most of them are depressed.

A depressed "gay" person.

I have yet to meet one of these.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

TakoMan02 - I'm a Christian (an ecumenical catholic to be specific), and I do not believe homosexuality is a sin. Any claims that God sees homosexuality as a sin are not grounded in fact, and a reading of the Bible in its original language (Greek for the New Testament) will demonstrate the dangers when an agenda is able to manipulate words to portray a meaning that isn't really there as seen in many translations.

What trumps everything when it comes to Christianity is to examine how Jesus led His life and the teachings He left behind. I cannot see Jesus ever denouncing homosexuals who were in a loving and consensual relationship, and the fact that Jesus actively campaigned against many of social standards of His time including His defense of outcasts of all different backgrounds strongly suggests He would also defend homosexuals, especially the ones being persecuted by the religious authorities.

What's far more important than gender, is the actual content of the relationship. A loving relationship filled with joy and happiness regardless of the sexes of the two partners will always trump an abusive and loveless relationship between a man and a woman.

Stop focusing on the sexes of the people involved, and look beyond that to the actual nature of the relationship if you wish to truly see if God would approve or disapprove of a couple.

A contradictory title, don't you think? And wouldn't that also be "emo"?

Depends on the context of the word as it means two things. Either it's homosexual or happy, it's not a word that can mean both things at the same time.

I'm really curious how it is that you're so approached on this subject

My father's an open homosexual, so I've always managed to have first-person insight into how most of them live, think and feel about this subject. Suffice to say, it's eye-opening.

Mustang: I've never been provided with an explanation as to why homosexuality is sin in God's eyes. Only that it was a sin.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with Adam and Eve.

So you simply took it as fact when you were told homosexuality is a sin? You decided to denounce and look down upon a large portion of the population based on a single statement?

My suggestion is to think for yourself and explore the arguments both in favor and against the view that homosexuality is a sin, and to reach your own conclusion before trying to compare your opinion to that of others. Also try to look at the issue from the viewpoint of a homosexual, which as RPGMaster2000 said can be a huge eye opener and really puts the issue in perspective.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

If my argument was that "it's a sin" then this debate would've been over a long time ago.

The Bible does not serve as a base for my opinions, rather a confirmation of my opinions.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

Sexuality is nothing meaningless. Sexuality decides everything in this world. A world with heterosexual people will continue passing on the legacy of mankind to coming generations, while a world with homosexuals would raze everything that mankind has fought for - life.

Re: What is your view on homosexuality?

Yup. That pretty much does a 100x better job of explaining my OP.

And let's see... why do I think the way I do about homosexuals...

I have no clue. I'll have to get back to you on that.

[EDIT] Lmao@your name.

Then explain your personal belief why you feel homosexuality is immoral without referring to religion, since as you said religion is merely a confirmation of beliefs you had already possessed.

That way we can actually have a discussion instead of just a random flinging of opinions in a vacuum.
