Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Foreign Languages in Chat

I'm brazilian, but I always speak english. Just because you don't see people talking in a foreign language, doesn't mean there aren't many people that aren't american/british.
Off-Topic-ish: Heck yea I knew Brazil was one of the countries with most people here!

Re: Foreign Languages in Chat

WAAY too much. Your claim- most people speak spanish and portuguese -is false. If Brazil is the third-most visited, then that place those two languages 3-5th place. Certainly not 1st. First is, and most likely always will be, English. Whether British or American.

Hmm. Well, I've played a ton (definitely too much, tbh), and I can guarantee I've seen a lot of chatting in languages I don't understand. Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to screenshot it all... :/

Re: Foreign Languages in Chat

My point is that mainly english is spoken. I've seen a few languages spoken but mainly english.

BTW are you going to stay active on the forums? You seem like you'd be a pretty good forum-er.

Re: Foreign Languages in Chat

Okay, I guess a lot of the Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking people stay a bit quiet until someone starts speaking their language. I went into a random room just a second ago and said, "Olá, alguém aqui falam Português?" and like three people piped up in Portuguese. I think they stay mostly quiet because they've learned that the majority of the chatting is in English. But just because people chat in English doesn't mean that is their native language.

I've done a lot of foruming before... "This user has made 4534 posts" from RuneScape, "558 forum posts across 166 threads." from thebiasphere.org... Now that I'm signed up, I might stick around for a while.

Re: Foreign Languages in Chat

Theres a difference between "what nationality are you" and "what languages can you speak"

The major language is english, but that doesn't meanthe majority of the players cant speak other languages.

Unknown is number eight! Are that many actually hiding their nationality?

Or is it an unknown country?:/

Perhaps, the majority of EE is English.

Ok, another topic, is it right to kick someone for talking in a foreign language persistently?

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I suppose it's okay if they're spamming, but if they're just conversing with other people in the same language, it might make you look like an idiot.

Anyway, I haven't seen many people talking in foreign languages either. Either they're just not there, just quiet, or don't have chat.

Interesting. Spanish and Portugese aren't even listed in the top 10 languages list.

Interesting. I see Brazil in third. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Brazil

Argh, my bad! *slaps face* I should get some sleep, it's almost 1 AM here.

EDIT: I'm hoping that my post wasn't completely useless since I did provide real statistics.

Wait, wait!
That can't be right! AUSTRIA is missing!
lol, actually I've met 2 persons from austria yet, not on EE, on every forum/site I'm member of. One of them is my brother.
