Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

While in the fix.forumify chat, I found out many things about chris.
HE DID NOT MAKE THIS GAME HIMSELF.
He made it from a game engine called FLIXEL.
This is why he does not do updates a lot. He doesn't know what he's working with. Whereas if it was entirely his own work, he would have lots of good updates.
He used flixel, made his game, and added player.io. That's it.
Remember after the portal update? Physics was messed up? That is because he had difficulty with something he didn't know.
Many of the features in EE are from flixel. Scrolling, editing, camera, etc.
[Thanks to fix for these discoveries.]
So? What are your comments on this?
Fix.forumify.com is the Bricklayer forum. What does this have to do with EE?

I was on the chat there when I found this out.
Who told you that Chris used Flixel? It could just be an assumption.

EE uses a lot of the features of flixel.
It's like a puzzle. You have to make an assumption that that piece goes there to finish.
The only problem is that a flixel game ALWAYS has enlarged pixels. EE doesn't.
I said he used player.io, didn't I? O.o I don't see any enlarged pixels in these demos...
I really don't think Chris used Flixel. Flixel seems like something for more inexperienced coders. Perhaps the developers of Bricklayer are using Flixel.

No, I saw fix coding the game in a broadcast...

Chris is a confirmed programmer, I don't think he used some software to create EE.
The lack of updates is just because chris has a job, and works on EE on his spare time.

Also, it's not because it looks alike that it's the same thing. :/

Isn't it flex you are talking about? I don't think he using flixel. Can't find any words with that inside the source codes.

Yeah, Chris makes very original things, don't blame him!
He made Windows 7-styled draggable windows in Flash (http://chrisbenjaminsen.com/stuff/windowblur.swf - released at the 27th of april, 2007) even before Windows 7 is released. So, Chris isn't exposed, but Microsoft is. 1bigsmile1
NOTE: The last statement about Microsoft is only a joke.

You can't make stupid assumptions like that without backing them with evidence. And why would this be a bad thing anyway? Thousands of companies use game engines created by other companies to create their games... does that make them bad people?
Woopy-doo, the game engine allows for camera movement, collision detection etc. Plenty of games have those too, and I'm pretty sure most of them do not use Flixel. I'm 99% sure Chris didn't use that engine, and unless you can provide me with evidence, I'll be sticking to that.

lmao.
Being busy IRL != Not knowing what you're working with

He makes [how much money?] off something not even his.

eh... ok. You believe what you think, I'll believe what I think.

what?
He would have been sued by "Flixel"'s devs if he was using it without any contract.
And if there is a contract, the name "Flixel" would have appeared somewhere.
EDIT : nvm, Flixel is an open-source librairy.

Downloading a game engine != Making a game using that game engine.

You really think Chris just downloaded Flixel, changed the smilies and bricks, then published it? Lobby, worlds and shop included?
what?
There was a physics bug due to portals because he didn't know what he was working with? Ever thought it could've just been a genuine mistake in the game code?

Maybe chris is an illuminati and can't work on EE because he's to busy trying to control the world.

Player.io puts gaming only online. It doesn't affect any original grapgics or coding which you have to make in. a different program such as "Flash." Therefore if he was using Flixel or whatever, it would still have enlarged pixels.
Why does it say that this topic is more than a week old? Is this a bug?
Offline
He did not use flixel. I've asked him questions about flash and he was able to answer those. I was using a free trial of Adobe Flash. He wouldn't have been able to answer my questions if he did not have experience using it himself. And have you seen his website? No signs of flixel in any of those things.

what? where?
well, it seems that this is obviously false. O.o I'll tell fix...
Lock?
"doesn't know what he's dealing with"
Yes, because flixel is so complex it makes Chaos theory look like abc...
EE doesn't use Flixel.
O.o Toby?! Posting in MY TOPIC?! XD
