Why I act the way I do

I act the way I do for several reasons. First off is because I don't care much what people think of me on the forums. There are a few people whose opinions still matter, but basically now that schools started I have a real life again. I don't plan to get on much anyway.

Second, the past couple of forum visits I have met a few jerks, and witnessed what the moderators are really like. Keeping my opinions to myself all I'll say was it wasn't pleasant. It reminded me of how much the forums don't affect me much.

Third, I'm tired of living a virtual life. I check the forum like ever 5 seconds because I used to get bored. Now I am in the school play, I hang out with friends, I do homework. I have a life outside of EE and I plan on living it now.

Lastly because the forums are dumb to me anyways. The only reason I ever still visit them is for when the next contest is posted. Hopefully it will be soon now so I don't have to check all the time. Other than that I find the forums useless and I so I act as I please.

This is now my last official post, unless a contest starts up I shall not be returning. So good-bye.

I understand why you are leaving, but in my opinion, you over reacted greatly to Twipply's reasoning.

Guess what? In the real world, you'll meet plenty of jerks, people will possibly be unfair, and there's nothing you can do. You can't avoid it. You complain that you're mature and people don't see you as being so, but all you're doing is acting immature and creating e-drama.

Guess what this isn't real life. And in case your wondering I act nothing like this in real life. I only act the way I do because I know in the end it does not matter. I will leave, my name will fade, and no one will remember me. EE is just a game to me, nothing more.

I made this topic to assure people I am not leaving because of my argument or because I was banned. Of course I was upset about it, but there are other reasons I am leaving as well.

And Cyclops, when I grow up EE will be nothing but a memory, it won't matter anymore. I don't know anyone from EE in real life, and no one knows me. So who cares? I completely understand the consequences of my posts and I don't care what happens anymore. It doesn't matter.

And trust me. I act nothing like this in real life. I am smarter than most people give me credit for. I can be bold here because in reality it doesn't matter. In real life I am actually really nice. I often do nice things for my friends because they are all nice people. I try to avoid danger and all costs and I have no enemies that I know of. I always think before I act in real life, and I theorize the consequences to all my actions.

If someone **** me off in real life, I would walk away.

If someone **** me off online I mine as flame them. Why not? If I get banned why does it matter? EE has been nothing more to me than something to so in my free time.

If it's just nothing more to you than something to do in your freetime, why are you so attached? Honestly, if you're going to leave, leave, don't pussyfoot around. If we're nothing to you, then leave. You don't need to explain yourself to us, since we're just going to be a memory.

Pussyfoot is a real word that has no sexual or obscene connotations.   Look it up.

Couple of things.
1. If you're going to stop posting, stop.   Nothing irritates me like a dishonest person.
2. You may not think this is real life, but it is.   Every archetype you see on these forums, you will meet at some point.   That is, if you get/have a life.
3. I know it seems like you're not supposed to care what everyone thinks about you, but if no one likes you, you'll never get a job.   You'll never have money.   Et cetera.
4. This is the Technology Age, most of your life will probably be virtual.   Most jobs are tech-based, work is given through e-mail, etc.
5. The forums are boring or dumb to you because you lost the ability to learn from your peers.
