Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Nope. Licenses have been revoked. I'll maybe return to this project next year, when i have more spare time. But as I get this new job I cannot maintain this any longer. I'll be working the next 4 months in a hospital where I'll have a really tight schedule. But however, I have recorder a lot of new bugs. So discountinued is maybe not the right word. Sleeping fits more. I've learned a lot from this project, so if I decide to restart it I'll do some resturcturing and keeping the project more easier. But at the moment I cannot continue to work on this.

Good Luck in your new job, hope you do carry on with this project.

Oh well. But yeah, things in real life, especially those that affect your future, are far more important than a game where pixels move around to other pixels.

You should request a lock for this topic, or at least until you're ready to start up working on it again.

Who the ffff broke the agreement? Hire a team to do the team.
This project has gone a good amount of time I don't see why your turning back.
You know you have a large amount of support are end and why you don't turn
to us before closing the project!

I hope you reconsider and hire some kind of team, or some sort;
because having this project go to waste is bad!

Either way, I respect your decision and hope for the future.
This was a good idea and no one will beable to top that.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Chris: If you ever start the project back up, or start a new project, here is my advice:

I don't think there is anybody here that is mature enough to handle it. Keep in mind, and no offense, some of these people are 11 and younger. (I'm not saying anything bad about people who are only 11, I'm only 14, but most 11 year olds need to reach a point of maturity.) Anyways, Chris, the point is, don't do beta-testing next time. I'm pretty sure most of the testers only wanted to test just so they could have the bot; not so they could really test. If you do need the extra help, try using somebody you know personally, or 1 or 2 people you really trust on Everybody Edits.

Not doing that was what went wrong with the old bot beta-testing.

I'm not going to ask for names, but whoever broke the rules must've been pretty immature.

Anyways, Chris, thanks and I hope your job goes well. Don't listen to any of these people on EE //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue If you're too busy, sleep in the time you would normally be coding! How I love sleep...

Best regards,
       BuzzerBee

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

This makes me sad. And Buzzerbee: I actually think that some people here are mature enough, but you're right. The majority of us aren't. Me, I'm only 12 and in 7th grade, but I have been told that I look, sound, and act like an 8th grader. (And I mean in a good way, even though most 8th graders are really immature.) So Chris, good luck on your new job; I hope you continue EE_Bot.

It's him. It's already confirmed. And I have confirmed it too. You don't need to wait for an answer from him.

(12:57:48) <Doh> who else have access to wayne? (12:57:54) <~ChrisKringel> Nobody

I don't think I need to post more logs.

I have an idea. Learn C# or C++ and try and make one yourself. It shouldn't be impossible, but as a very close friend of me told me, it's one hard thing to do.
So maybe in a year or so you will make your own bot that fills your own pleasement and even share it wisely as Chris did.

As of Chris; I had some really good time using this bot. I checked for bugs and suggested features, but I admit I really wanted this bot because it was cool. Now I realize it will probably won't continue because you work at hospital. Chris, keep it up. Saving life or even cleaning the hospital, is more important than making a game bot. I repeat, if you want to use a bot like this, learn a programming language - it's fun to learn one if you are smart enough, I guarantee.

Chris, thank you for your hard time making some kids happy. Now go work at a respected job. I hope you will return back, but don't bother to.
With all the respect, Yam

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I wonder if Chrisk is going to come back here or to IRC. So he can remove my information, hardware id and email.
I see no reason to have it stored because of chrisk's job and choice of closing it down. If anyone else is going to takeover the bot or if someone is trying to break in to the database.

Hardware ids and logins are not online anymore. I've backed them   up lokally and removed them from the database manually, so there are no traces left. If you want to have your data removed in my local save files as well, drop me a message.

It was never for the damn public.
He could cancel licensing anytime he wanted for any
particular reason.
This is a sad thing for the beta testers because it was
a project we supported and helped create; to see it
ruined and your responce was utter wrong and rude. -1 rep for you.

I hope to see this recreated for the future and expect it to be!!
We will NEVER see a bot like this ever again, as advanced as yours.
You shared your bot to your best extent unlike other bot creators
and thus you should have been properly awarded.

I applaud the fact you were couraged to share.
What you failed though is you managing it yourself.
You should have hired (free or not) some team to make
sure everyone was following the rules.

If you are ever to create it, or never (although I expect you to create
it again or rebirth it, because this bot could be restored with the help of
mods/admins) to hire a team to HELP you assist.

Sure none of us are trust worthy for the role but sometimes it was good to take a risk.
So.

Rebirth this sometime!
I hope to see amazing things then.

And I do hope you enjoy your job and
hope for the best for you!
