Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Harder to code in facebook in the bot then with the ee logins. The auth token changes sometimes.

Lol, You tried using PIX Crew Chat

Also, Im going to try out the remote commands, and The icon should be done today!

EDIT: Icon is done! Supports 48x48 (Large Xp) 32x32 (desktop) and 16x16 format, you can use it for the desktop icon and the application favicon. The 16x16 might not be your favorite as the heart gets a little blurred, but I can remove that for a regular one

Link! (Full)
Link (No heart and stuff)

Hope you like it!

Thanks. I really like the second one. Can you create an icon containing these sizes

MSDN wrote:

The full set includes 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, and 256x256 (code scales between 32 and 256). The .ico file format is required. For Classic Mode, the full set is 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64.

These are supported in Windows 7, so it would be great to have all of them :-)
Also: the official support channel is #EEBot on the Rizon network (web client)

Hmm.. Would take a while to do that, Mylo wont tell me the font, so I cant make it any biggger, and how many people really use 256x256 Icons?

Good progress so far! Still waiting excitedly in hopes that my application is approved //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile.

I think you should make a set of commands used exclusively by the bot to modify levels, like a command that makes a spawn and resets all player on a certain color block !

keep up the good work.

ALL ALPHA TESTERS AT THIS MOMENT WILL RECIEVE HALFOP ON THE IRC.
PLEASE ALPHATESTERS DO THE FOLLOWING IN THE IRC:

TYPE:

/nickserv register <INSERT YOUR DESIRED PASSWORD> <INSERT YOUR EMAIL>

An Email will be sent to your email to verify..
In that email will be a verify code: Copy it.

THEN TYPE:

/nickserv confirm <PASTE YOUR VERIFICATION CODE>

What does this do?
If registers your nick with the IRC.
That way when you enter IRC again; it will require you to type your password in (In 15 seconds before the bot kicks you) to use that username preventing others from pretending it is you.

People with out OP or who don't beta can also do this.

Thanks for this info Persona.

I've pushed another small update a few minutes ago fixing loading and implementing loading/saving of variables. I also added/changed some error handling in order to prevent some crashes. I planned to make some changes in the website in the next days, maybe include a forum (if i find one that is easy to integrate into the website...

As I said, atm I'm working only on the website, so there will be no new features, only bugfixes in the coming days. Atm there are 10 beta testers a number that is very suficcient right now. But of course, if I make major changes I'll add new testers.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Presumably you now have well over 1000 people who have applied for Beta, yet you only have 10 Beta Testers. Are they doing their job? I've witnessed about 3 of them and none of them are stretching the program to its full capabilities.

How are you planning on releasing this after Beta? If you're not planning on making it public for everyone, how do you plan to distribute it and to how many people? If you're planning on charging people for it, you have to get Benjaminsen's permission to do so due to copyright laws (as you can't legally profit from someone else's program without their permission).

So if you do distribute it privately, how can you stop it simply being passed around?

Honestly, it looks like it has huge potential, but have you really considered the practicality of it?

On a testing note, I would recommend either capitalising the first letter of all usernames or capitalising the entire name in every case. It would also be good for the Bot to have the facility to have actions based on whether players have chat or not (so for example it could greet people only if they have chat).

Atm there are 53 applications waiting to be approved, so nothing about 1000 people who have applied for beta. The minority is really stressing it, but thats most likely because they have to get used to it first. Stressing it to its full capabilites is also hard because it has a lot of them ;-) I will keep this bot on a application based distribution based, so every user that wants to have access needs to have a good reason. Passing the bot is prevented due to some a license system that works fine right now. I'm not a lawyer but afaik it is not prohibited to sell software that connects to a server. Its like prohibiting webbrowser because they acces websites. But then again, im not familiar with US law or whatever applies here.

The usernames are not changed by the bot as i want to provide the user with as raw data as possible. However they can be converted with some functions

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I was basing 1000 on the number of visits you got to your site a few days ago and web browsers are also freely distributed. Nevertheless, I won't go into the specifics of the law here.

Still, it's a great program - Nice work //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

you probably mixed up the action with "add a variable to a string".

it's supposed to be "remove a variable from a string"!

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Because I lack the time to continue it. I'll start new work on 5th of December and this project has been nice. There have been serious agreements been broken, and I don't see a point in spending 3 to 5 hours a day on coding and documenting. It is simply too much work.

In the beginning this project has been a lot of fun, it was really nice to use it. But I also have a real life. I cannot prmoise to maintain this project any longer.

Nope. Licenses have been revoked. I'll maybe return to this project next year, when i have more spare time. But as I get this new job I cannot maintain this any longer. I'll be working the next 4 months in a hospital where I'll have a really tight schedule. But however, I have recorder a lot of new bugs. So discountinued is maybe not the right word. Sleeping fits more. I've learned a lot from this project, so if I decide to restart it I'll do some resturcturing and keeping the project more easier. But at the moment I cannot continue to work on this.
