Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

You can hover over the (i)-Icons in order to see the related variables. Each event has its own. I'll create a Wiki-Page for that //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

You have to enter the smiley-id in the text-box in order for that to work. You can see some of them in the userlist.

The key function currently sends the key, it doesnt set it. I have already changed that for the next release

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I think tutorials should have all the tutorial pages, like put the "Variables" category, into the tutorials list, as a subcategory

Also, We dont have permissions to move and create pages?

I dont actually think that the variables category should be a subcategory of tutorials, because the variables should be explained in general. But if you want you can make it a subcategory. Sorry about the rights... I'm very unfamiliar with mediawiki. But I'm fixing them now //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Yea I was trying to organize some stuff so its not all scattered, Should we have General info, And Advanced tutorials?

Also, Can I have the right to rename pages? It would help if we do move some of these around to organize them

EDIT: Hmm.. Seems its messed up again, Can only move certain pages and cant create, Ill take a look later at the permissions page and see if I can find the ones that should be enabled

And ill be working on the icon

I guess renaming is moving... At least says google. There is also not a dedicated create button (i struggeled with this in the beginning //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile) But you can search for the desired page title and the click on create. Or is this link missing? And i started discussion on the Tutorial category //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I've pushed a small update one minute ago. Please redownload the bot from the user-center. And because this is only a very minor release increase I've only sent out one more password.

Changelog

I was that one password, apparently.
Thank you, Chris!   I look forward to using the EEBot to create some cool new levels!

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I just heard about this today...why haven't I've been informed about this powerful tool. So...I guess I'm too late to test, so I'll wait for it to finish before figuring out everything and hopefully accomplish my dream of making an anti-trolling mechanisms or something like that.

There is no such thing as beeing to late. You can always apply and hope to be selected.
If pushed another small update that should fix loading and saving of worlds. And you can now let the launcher remember your login details //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile And i heard a rumor that there was a new tiny little password sent out into the cyberspace...

Hey Chris, when I tried to log in with my laptop it said "invalid licence, has been recorded".
I'm afraid I will lose my licence now, so if you note this, just know it wasn't on purpose to share the bot.
Also, when will you add the option to tie it to another computer? I really want to use it in my laptop because my 2nd PC is not mine (however it's stronger)..

Your license will not be revoked for only one wrong login. I actually had this as a low priority item on my list. However you can run the registration tool on your laptop and PM me your IP along with the time you ran the tool, so i can change it manually.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

I've noticed in the screenshots that we have to link the EE account with the bot to work. Does that give you free access to our information?

No. Only the e-mail adress is stored, and it is stored as a hash value. The EEBot password is stored as hash as well. Even if someone would be able to get access to the database, he would have any useful information.

Also; added a feature request //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

This feature is really cool. Let me think how to create this. Maybe i break it down into a random number generator, so that you create a list and you can then get a random entry from that list and then load this level *mumbling*

I've also added a few actions in order to improve remote administration with this bot... See the changelog to see whats coming tomorrow //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile I'm currently working on a tutorial that walks through the creation of such a remote administration tool :-)

There is an article "Chat commands" in the wiki demonstrating the setup of chat commands that are limited to users. And I would recommend watching at least the introduction video on youtube (see the opening post). Did your password work?

@ChrisKringel I like your attitude of never too late, I agree with that, so...where do I apply, at the wiki?
