Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Hey Chris, I had this idea, To prevent people from using it for evil (lol) you should make it so you can disable a bot. Like when they sign up they have to have some way of verifying there EE username, then submiting hardware ID. If you or someone else catches them abusing it, you could disable thee bot for that computer.

Player Since 2011. I used to make bots and stuff.

Don't listen to those "Slow life-complainers" Who don't want this bot to be public. Why not? This bot would innovate new stuff into EE and all you have to think about is "Oh, I am a wussie, I will cry, trollers wo-wo-would useh iht"..

Lol, I'm a 'wussie' because I don't want bots to become an everyday thing like stairs? Yeah, it would bring new stuff into EE, but the stuff it'd bring wouldn't be very special if everyone can do it.

Just don't give out the code, see?

You don't need to worry because those "Wrong handed" people
cannot get the code with out you giving it to them, or them guessing your silly
little worthless 4 number code.

Obviously Chris was talking about the bot's source code, not codes in the game..

Pretty sure that's what he's already doing..

And I've found a webspace. I hope i dont generate too much CPU usage with the encryption :-/ Or else I have to look for a new one. But lets try it anyway.

Visit the bot's website here:

http://eebot.bplaced.net
And I'll just leave this here:

beta%20_%20bot.png

Please read the instructions carefully. You have to fill out the form in order to complete the registration.

Say we have two accounts on one computer/connection, what do?

You are only allowed to register one. And because of the hardware ID you can register only one computer once. If you have two computers sharing one connection you'd have to (theoretically) signup with the first computer and finish the registration procedure (submitting the form). After that, you could register the second machine...

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Will I be able to use the program on both accounts, if accepted?

EDIT: Oh, and then there is this: 4P8II.png
Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Currently, one testing account is tied to one EE-Acount (the one specified upon registration). This might change later but at the moment you'll have to use one.

Edit: Weird... Works fine on my Win7 x64 Home Premium... Can you make sure that you have .Net 4 installed? Available at Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de … x?id=17718

But first, you could simply try to redownload the application...

Neither facebook nor any othe third party authentication is supported. This is because they use own authentication tokens. At the moment need a EE account to register.

Yes, without the form the registration will be ignored. But this is stated at the beginning of the process as well //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

Does this mean that I can't have the same email in both? I sure hope not, because I have ONE email address that I use.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

This sucks "Furthermore you have to use the same IP-Address to send the hardware-id and fill out the application. "

Dynamic ip-addresses and this will be broken. No facebook support either..
I don't really like the use of the email you use on EE. Can easily be abused to crack the account.
The Facebook token changes some times, so can't bind that either.

You can use the same in both fields. I have two fields because there are some players that use one e-mail for communication and on for sign-ups...

I dont really see how a dynamic IP can break this. I have one... And if you have problems with providing you EE login, I dont force you to sign up. Do you have a better idea to tie licenses to accounts? I'm always open to suggestions :-) And about the facebook thing: it is possible to get the token, however you'd have to install a third party app on facebook. And I dont want to test this on my private facebook account. Maybe I'll add this later, but at the moment i dont really see the need...

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

How we would know whether or not the application was looked at if it was declined? Your sign up thing says that we would only receive a conformation e-mail if it was accepted, but not if it wasn't.
