Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Thanks for the offer. I know a lot about web-programming as well, however i still need to plan the bot-related features (for instance whether the licenses are online or not) and get access to a free server, that is allowed to have non-browser generated requests.
And about my progress:

I'm currently working on the ability to join own saved-worlds. That's a problem as rooms without users are closed and not listed by the server. They are only opened if someone joins them either by ID or the EE-Server receives a request to open up a saved world. In order to implement these requests i have to recode the whole room-listing and joining functions to use a own room-class...

But heres a great message: Jojatekok has donated chat to me, so i can finally test my existing and implement new chat-related functions.

However I have these days a few things to do, before I can fully return to the development. However i hope I can share some progress with you in 3-4 days.

Maybe make it work in only your own level?
I don't believe people would troll their own levels...

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Hey

i have got a lot of request asking for download links and beta-testing access. And I can only repeat: The bot is currently private and not availably yet. However we're approaching closed beta-testing ;-) Here's another video to demonstrate the new chat-related functions and showing some scenarios where they could be useful.

WARNING: Contains the f-word... If you aren't string enough to handle this very bad world, dont klick the Play-button...

What I'm planning to do next is to implement "list" variables. The user has the ability to add values. Everytime a list is read, the next value in the list is returned. Like the name says ;-) Another thing I'm working on is to restrict the bot to own worlds. However these functions are still bugged :-/ For instance when the bot opens a world he owns, the "saved-world-star" won't show up in the Lobby. I think I'll have to do some digging why this problme occures. And sometimes there a re deadlocks when worlds are loaded. This is a bug in the RPC-connection. I guess i can fix that ;-)

And for the devs wondering how the parsing of the chat-messages works: check this link ;-)

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Pretty cool progress, although whats the point of the chat when they leave, they would never see it, but I get the point, nice work!
can... I test... well, when the time comes

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

You should pick beta testers now, so you can be ready when the bot is in a testable phase.   This is coming from a former gamemaker who made some mistakes that I would like you to not repeat.

Well, i think its epic and amazing and insane and all those other good words that im too lazy to type. I do think that only a select few should ever own this bot, but dont make it as exclusive as the shift bot. You should make it have a function that immobilizes a player that possible brick, key, or crown trolled.

Id love to help test the bot, but im pretty sure youll say no to an unknown annoying person like me. Keep up the great work, and if you dont mind, pm me some details plz.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Don't mind all the people asking to be beta testers and asking for you to have beta testing now... they all just want beta testing access. of course, I obviously do too, but please just ignore all of that.

Re: EE_Bot, A User Conifgurable Event-Listener

Another quick update:

The lists have now a fundemantel implementation. I've added another action as well: "Follow", allowing the bot to follow a specified player. This idea is stolen from Capashas bot :-P The bot is now restricted to his own worlds, so it can't be abused to copy worlds. Another bugfix is, that stars are now shown correctly next to the worldname when the bot opens one of his saved worlds. I added the variable %id% to most events, containing the id of the related user.

If someone has access to a Server with a SSL/TLS-connection (not a self-signed certificate) he/she could drop me a PM. Could be useful as licensing-server ;-)

If you don't share this program with us,or with some users, why you're opened a topic like this Chris?

If it means anything, I would love to play/test the bot. I have a few ideas in mind that I can't quite get to work in WPE Pro. I'm quite the trusted user, too. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue
