Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Chewy fail?

Yea, that's right. Threaten him. That's such a great idea. /sarcasm Warning issued.

IMO this is an example of bad moderating. When did "your gonna have to learn the hard way" become a threat? MRBOOGAWESOME just said that marks600 would have to understand that his group would fail, so he should just quit it, or he would learn that his group wouldn't face the same success (no brag) as TI:1, and that by facing setbacks - the hard way (by struggling to get a big, wellknown group, but fail).

MRBOOGAWESOME never indicated that marks600 should be aware off that other members might ruin it for him, or oppose him in a bad way which could have been by harassments or such. MRBOOGAWESOME did just give his opinion and thoughts about the group.

I ask myself two questions: how can mods give out warnings so casually, and; how is "you will learn it the hard way" a threat?

I would like to see MRBOOGAWESOMEs warning withdrawn, but I guess that wont happen...

So, did Chewy act wrong or am I wrong?

I didn't start this thread to flame the mods or such, I think that they're doing fine, but sometimes warnings are given without a real reason (this case IMO).

You're wrong. When someone says "you're going to learn the hard way" it implies that people are going to do something bad. If anything, it was provoking more people to flame. Also, when you add "..." instead of a normal period at the end, it shows that you are planning something. In my opinion.

Okay, I don't know how it's interpreted in the states, but if someone comes up to you in Sweden and says "you will learn it the hard way", it means that you will understand that it wont work; like, "wait and see and you will understand that you will eventually fail" - it's the hard way to learn something, by experiencing it.

Re: Chewy fail?

Well, it's all on the context.
'If you keep touching the stove, you'll have to learn the hard way [that you shouldn't.]'
This implies burning your hand.
'If you don't give me my sammich, you'll have to learn that hard way [that you shouldn't mess with me.]'
This is more of a threat.

So, yeah, TGT is right. He's not threatening, he's just saying he'll have to learn the hard way that his group will fail, and that's by watching it fail.

Plus, how exactly could he be threatening? He can't literally force him to have his group fail.

Surely, read the thing again
SARCASM.
I surely believe that he said it in his post, seriously, but I dont think its a very nice word.

2 Definitions for sarcasm:

1. harsh or bitter derision or irony.
2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark.

Found defination at: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sarcasms

What Zoey said. Not worthy of a warning.

It's pretty much the same here.

Epic fail Chewy...

It's alright to tell him not to but a warning wasn't called for.

I've stated this before, if you see problems, PM me.   Don't make a big deal about it and get a whole bunch of e-drama started.
