Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So word is out, EX Crew will be competing in the Halloween contest (With a slight chance of the renowned Mfl?)
I heard that apparently they were offered to be the judges for the contest, but then the offer was retracted due to Chris wanting his friends to be the judges? Any thoughts of this? Seems a little suspicious of Chris to me... :/

Chris's friends = one big mistake. They don't understand how much work the art and precise minis we make in order to compete. We need someone like that who knows it first hand.
if rpg sees this ex cre should be jugdes. thuggish is right, and plus we all know they would win so they can either get the smileys or a jugde smiley. ex crew would be fair also.

I have my reasons SmileyZ
RPGMaster2000 is asking some of the EX Crew members if they want to judge.
^That, he said so in a blog comment

No, but he knows you can trust them, they are all mature EE players, and most are over 20. ;p
On-topic: At least his friends are game developers, not random people he met on his holiday or something ;p, I think Chris and RPG could explain how to play the game and such pretty good. But I still think it has to be judged by EX members, or other really experienced players.

EE is still going down to its end every day.
This is just one reason that Chris doesn't give a crap about good players and artist. Chris can't even go out of the house that rpgmaster created for the Halloween bricks. See, lets use more Chris people as judges.
He and his friends will just rage when they play any level, and is going to take it as a bad level.
We need to make more stairs and hookjumps. Don't forget box minigames and a lot of use of black brick.

This. if chris's "friends" play the levels and judge, there just gonna say there too hard and crap, they dont know what pro is here, nor how to play the game...

This is why you have a jury of your peers.
Yes, it would be a good idea to have complete newbs judge levels if it were for a tutorial.
It prevents bias, but it also prevents accurate judging.

Pike and I talked about this too.
See the problem is EE is only understandable if you have played it for as long as most of us have. You cannot just look at one level at say, "Oh that's good" because there is always one that is better.
Chris' friends may never have played EE for all we know. To them stairs could be the greatest thing in the world. Or they might only judge based on art and not minis.
I would rather have EX crew judge my level because they are experts on everything EE, and are most able to judge a level fairly based on art and minigames. They are by far the most qualified people on this forum (Besides the admins) and they should be the judges. They have been working with EE since it's beginning, and know it's ins and outs. They know good from bad. They have the experience needed to properly judge a level, and we can sure they won't be biased either.
In my opinion I would much rather have EX Crew judge our levels over Chris' friends. EX crew is much more knowledgeable in the ways of EE.

EX Crew Should Judge Reasons Above.
And Few Less Awesome People To Whoop Other Crews...
Thank you eleizibeth ^

Chris refused to give the judges a prize for judging, so EX Crew will simply compete instead and get that prize anyway.
So the problem is that now fewer people can win; you can make your own judgement on which judges you would prefer.
Complain to Chris, but I doubt that would help.

So Chris didn't retract the offer at all?

He changed the terms of the offer after several people had already accepted it. Which is not cool at all.
"he changed the terms of the offer"?
So what does it mean?

I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

I believe EX Crew should be the judges, and in return receive both the lit and unlit pumpkins smilies.
That seems plenty fair to me. Because I can understand why you wouldn't want to judge. You want to get the smilies just as much as everyone else. Makes sense.
Chris is such an idiot. ( Not that that's anything new or anything)
