Herp derp Let's change the physics! (destroys almost every challenging level)

Herp Derp Let's add color to BG during a FREAKING ****ING CONTEST.
Really. ASK THE DAMN COMMUNITY BEFORE YOU DO THIS.

I swear to god I don't know why I play this game if he keeps doing this.

If you hate the game and its creator so much, just quit. The physics change was created to allow Chris to add slippery or icey blocks, which I might add was suggested by members of EE (though he probably had the idea for it before it was suggested). The background change, though, I admit, annoying, was actually something that I anticipated. I knew that background colors on the minimap would be added sometime because Chris, or one of the mods, has announced before that they would be added. I really do like the background change, as it allows you to be more creative with the art while still allowing minis and looking nice on the gameplay screen as well as the minimap. He has also extended the contest deadline to one week longer, giving you plenty of time to obliterate backgrounds from your contest level or change them around. This is not like a physics change; it will not ruin everything in your level. It could mess up the art a little, but by deleting the backgrounds that can easily be fixed.

Chris does not get his ideas for updates "on the fly." Obviously you do not know much about programming, otherwise you would know that programming these games and updates takes lots of time.

Not everyone shares your opinion. I'm sure there are many other people that like the update as well. He gets a majority of his ideas from the community and he cannot listen to every person and every preference. You may hate the background colors and new physics. Some people like them.

I do not hate the game. I hate the creator.

And He could have waited until judging was done, people got their prizes, then ruined our levels.
Yes I do like the idea of BG having color, but he could have warned us. I know it's simple to get rid of, but its a big inconvenience. And yes the physics was for slippery bricks, sticky bricks.

He needs to listen to the community more though. My level had a ton of key and deco art. You can't see it at all now.

And yes I do admit I don't know much about programming but hey. He might need to think
"Hmmm Won't this ruin levels during a contest?"
"Won't this Destroy some art and be a big inconvenience?"

And I do admit that I'm using BG in my Halloween world now.
Chewy: I hate when there isn't and update for months, and hate it when he does get an update and it destroys people's levels.

And I think a week was plenty. MX²'s level will end up being better than it would if the cutoff was tomorrow. He made it up to MX when he added the EXTRA WEEK

That is true, but some of my world's have BG now I have too fix them all.

But I guess I'm not as mad as I was when I first heard about it.
I am glad he gave us a week and wasn't stupid about that part.

Order of events:

1. I lock it.
2. Chewy comes in right behind me, attempts to lock it, but since it's already locked it becomes unlocked.
3. Chewy moves it.
4. No further action can take place at this time because there are no admins and mods are not mods in the graveyard.
5. I report this post to alert an admin.
6. Admins ignore the New Reports message and this topic sits here for 2-3 days until one of them gets annoyed at the little blue link at the top of every page.
7. An admin locks this.
7a. An admin zaps it without locking it, I see that it has been zapped by an admin and I post here talking about it.
