White and Grey?

On the names list, some people have a bright white name always at the top, and some people (Including me) Have a more greyish name and are in the middle (Guests being at the bottom with an almost black color)

What makes it white or grey?

I first assumed it had to do with beta. I finally got beta like 6 months ago, but im still grey. I know somebody named davibr, and he is white (Im starting to sound racist now). I look at his profile, but i dont see a big difference between me and him!

So my question is: Whats the difference between a lighter name, or a rather grey-ish name on the list?

Energy?
Having old stuff from 2009?
Beta?
Awesomeness?
Worlds?
Plays?

This sounds stupid because the answer is going to be so oobvious and now I sound like an idiot...

Oh well...

White = Chat members

Grey = Non - Chat Members

Dark Grey = Guests

Chat and accounts only affect it.
