Seriously though, are the boost blocks going faster than the game can process? It freezes up in the straights and unfreezes back in the corners.

Wow, I thought you would know. It doesn't freeze. It just goes so fast it seems like nothing is moving. If you have boosts, do that. put a block on the side. Go up the arrows, seems frozen? Well, you can see that block go by. And that's proof if it doesn't freeze. I rest my case.
