Examine the DIY Hookjump Kit.
If it is just a hook and rope, combine the two to make a grappling hook and climb your way out.

You deploy the Hookjump Kit at a place you find convenient, and make a climb for it. You reach a spot where you cannot climb any further. Oh why did you have to go after some painite?

You throw both of the shoes at the devil smiley, since they are no use to you. They knock him off of the hookjump ladder. The feather technique doesn't seem to be working. Better hurry up before he tries catching you again!

You decide to climb out using the bow and shovel as climb equipment AKA you hold on to the bow while lifting yourself with the shovel and vice verse

USE the SHOVEL to knock down the DIY HOOK KIT and use it as a BRIDGE across the LAVA

You hop down to greet the devil and find out this was all a big misunderstanding. He was chasing you because on his weekly walk on the surface, he came across a pocketknife and he's pretty sure it's yours. You gladly accept the knife and give him all of your feathers in return. You chat for a while about wombats and Wikipedia, and he finally tells you how to get out of this place.
You have to go East, to where his home is. But warning, there's a large lava lake between here and his home. On the top of his house there is a ladder that leads up to a cave. Then you must navigate your way through this maze-like cave and finally reach the surface.
You then pick up the shoes you threw at him, apologize for the whole thing, and continue on your journey

Use the pocketknife to carve one of the left shoe into a right shoe and put them on. (I know a smiley can't wear shoes, but I'm imagining.)
Quickly run across the lava with your shoes on, making it over before the lava burns right through them and starts burning you.

Too early for this command. You have to make it up manually.

You attempt at digging up and accidentally end the life of an innocent stalactite.
Meanwhile, the devil smiley takes a hot shower in a nearby lavafall.

I know it's too soon for me to post more, but ask the devil smiley to jump on the lava and use him as a stepping stone to get over.

Yeah, too early. You needed to take the hookjumps down first.

Dig underneath the lava to get to the other side.

You dig under the hookjumps and lava puddle to reach the large lava lake.
