Granted, but along with your ability to wish comes your ability to hope, leaving you a mental and emotional wreck. You constantly fear the worst and know without a shadow of a doubt that things will never improve for you. You give up on life and give in to despair, as there's nothing left for you to do, and slowly waste away, eventually meeting your end in a cold hospital room. They did their best to keep you alive, but you had lost your will to live long ago.

I wish I could get this sprite done in the next 2 hours.

Granted, but it will not be at all how you want it to be.
I want a new computer that has absolutely nothing wrong with it that is filled with features that are non-intrusive as well as it not having any negative impact on my life nor anyone else's.

Granted, but having such an outstanding computer in your possession causes thousands to envy you, and makes you the target of hundreds of attempted crimes. You begin carrying a gun on your person for protection at all times, with no exceptions. Eventually your paranoia grows to the point where you find yourself unable to trust anyone except the computer that you wished for. You hide yourself away guarding your computer and attacking anyone who comes close. You die alone 60 years later in the dim glow of your computer screen.
Not sure if that counts since the computer isn't directly affecting the lives of the people who come to envy and despise you.

I wish for the furnace to work.
