While sleeping in the crater, the hill itself regenerated. You got stuck inside and you can't move and breathe until you die.
I regenerated as well and went back to conquer the hill.

As I'm "killed", I regenerate quickly turning into Tom Baker. I then use the TARDIS to change time so that I get the hill. I then Regenerate into myself again.

Objection! We all went back in time and killed you BEFORE you could destroy the hill, thus rewriting history.

Also, if you come back, I shoot you with my magic hands. Imagine conjuring a bullet so that its trajectory goes straight into your heart no matter where. Also, Imagine that... 3000 times AT THE SAME TIME. Now imagine me doubling THAT. You have my magic hands.
