About a year ago I was playing around in FL Studio and started building a techno song around the hook from "Escape From Noise". Then I realized that the chord progression matched "Shawshank Prison", and my face melted off.

And then I forgot all about the song and let it gather dust for a year.

Tonight I sat down and finalized the thing and got it out onto YouTube. The funny thing is, I have at least 20 more half-finished songs on my old hard drives; some are years old. I think I'll start working on those, too.

My wife said I should mash these two Warbler songs together, so I did. I made minor alterations to "Raise Your Glass" to make it fit; the pitch is lowered by one semitone, and the tempo is slowed by a couple BPM. After that, a couple of simple cuts and rearrangements. Result:

ZOMG PERFECT MATCH

Edit: For epic results, use good speakers/headphones.

They sound very nice together. Conicidence? I know you made a few changes, but, still, it's almost weird how they just happen to go together so nicely.

As far as I know, it's "all you can eat, while supplies last." But get over here quick because you'll get stuck with the "formica" cookies, which some dolt literally cut out of his kitchen counter.

^^ The funny thing is, I don't really like the show that much.
[tangent]apart from the Pilot episode, which I saw before anyone had heard of the show. and we were watching on a TV with a great Bose sound system so the "Don't Stop Believin'" number knocked me out, and I was thinking, "Ok, that was freaking great, but there's no way this show will catch on. Nobody will want to see a show about a glee club." And then it did catch on, but the plots got really silly and dumb, and I realized I was "that guy", the guy who says "I liked it before it went mainstream".[/tangent]

I think the "Teenage Dream" arrangement is awesome, but I can't stand "Raise Your Glass" on its own. But put them together and it's great.

I'm not sure a workable mashup is possible. The songs are just too different from one another. They are in drastically different keys, very different tempos, and don't share any common melodies, harmonic patterns, or chord progressions. Sorry. :/

If you would like to suggest a third song to try to match to one of these two, I'll take a listen.
