I need halp with this.

My first serious pixel art thing, (the first was a really crappy plane that got taken down because it wasn't good enough) and I've only spent a few hours on it and now I'm kind of stuck. What needs to be improved? What more detail do I need to add? Any shading to fix? Please don't tell me to smooth the eye because I'm trying and it's not going well.

its looks cool, maybe add some antennaes? And possibly an alien planet bg? and wtf is that thing in the corner? lol

a lightbulb to help remind me where the lighting is. Also, I was planning on adding the BG last.

You should probably smooth the eye.

Nah, but srsly. I think the arm on the right (its left) should be darker. I mean, it's on the complete other side of the light, but the legs are darker? It just doesn't seem right to me.

Give the arms some thickness? They look paper thin.

I was trying to make them thinner, because they're the alien's arms. The legs needed to be strong. and it's a 1 pixel difference. I make it one pixel thicker and they're as thick as the legs.

dont eyes shine in certain lights? maybe you could make the eye shinier?

I only tried smoothing things out. (All in paint) I have no other suggestions at the moment.

I also tried smoothing the eye, but I don't think it did any good.

I like it, but add some spikes on its head
