Making signatures and avatars

Now (experimenting with) GIFs!

I can and will download a brush/text pack if you link me to it.

My work so far (in chronological order):
My old one (evidently the link expired and was rolled over)










Form (use it, don't use it, I don't care. Just give this general info)
-Text type. "easy to read" or "Cursive-like/fancy" Is fine. Don't say "Cool". I have a crap of fonts (including the EE font), so don't be vague
-Colors. Don't freaking miss the colors, or I'll make it white/black
-Text (no-brainer right there)
-Special preferences. If you want a GIF for some reason, link me to a tutorial and tell me what you want.
-Style - General feel you want to it. I do glows and such.
-Size (SPE-CI-FIC). If you want to get a general idea, mine is 400x80 (pixels). No more than 90x90 for avatars and no more than ?x350 for signatures
-Special properties - Don't ask me, just put stuff here if I didn't mention it above.

Sounds good. Please make me a small sig, only up to about 40 pixels high. Make its bright and colorful, but not too overwhelming. There should be at least a little bit of red in it somewhere.
It should day 'Chimi' somewhere, in fairly easy to read text.

I'll go ahead and make it 40 pixels, but re-read my first post (I updated it) and tell me then if you want it that small (mine is 80 pixels tall). I'll do it tomorrow (I guess that would technically be 'later in the day'). What other colors would you like? Do you want it to be a straight line(mine was 5 gradient swipes (2 main, 3 to cover white spots))   (i.e. do you want me to create a gradient so I can be lazy and spam the linear gradient tool), or do you want it to be random (i.e. do you want to make me do work and randomize my movements, which I'm fine with). I'm not that great with the brush, but w/e.

Yes, 40 pixels is the size i want. Um, im not too PS fluent. Don't make the bg linear. Make it have shapeless blobs of color in random places. Colors? I don't really care, as long as they aren't neutral (except black, if you need it) and there needs to be a bit of red.

I'll edit this post with the sig I want, but for now,

shouldn't this thread be in Creative sub-forum? Just saying.

[Edit] Let's see how you can work:

A sig that:

-Says "Hide and shriek".
-Has:
  -Some blood.
  -Black background.
  -Some other things you think would make it cool.

(Btw, yea, this is the same post I posted on Advancé signature's topic. I want to see how you work and who can make the best one.

Practice.

Have 2 sigs done (I don't like how I made yours, chimi, it came out as me randomly using the brush :/ ), will edit with all when finished. *sigh*, time to learn how to make glow lines again. By the way, I'm gonna make yours (Rhythm) 400x200, 400x300 is like a square, and it looks extremely strange. Tell me if you want it to be a brick or w/e

Didn't like the way this turned out, but it was my first. It's essentially me using the paintbrush randomly, and then I put your name there in a (in my opinion) boring font.

I thought this one came out a little better. I used some water brushes from OD (colored red) as the blood, and added some lightning and fire (IDK why).

I didn't like the way this one came out (custom gradient spammed as the background, glow lines didn't work well against it). I did include glow lines, but (as I already said,) they didn't work well with the bright and semi-colorful background. I also made it 400x200 (I already posted that), because 400x300 was ridiculous. Tell me if you want the 400x300. Not to sh*t on my own work, but I think it looks like crap.

It's great, I love the background and the text, but I can barely read it. Maybe add a slight shadow behind it?
I'm a fairly difficult first customer... Lol.

Alright, here it is. I appreciate you telling me to add shadow, it taught me that it makes text look great :O

When you're more advanced to Photoshop, PM me and I'll tell you a site about drawing sigs. Really good sigs.

EDIT: Oh, and, it looks nice, at least for being your second one. Keep going!

I'm not gonna pay for PS, and I'm not gonna pirate it. Thanks, by the way!

By the way, I made a test sig. I'm extremely proud of it, despite the glow effects and the sunspot stuff being a tutorial, and the glow and shadow around the text was a built-in effect.

I have the XCF, so I can put your text there if you'd like, and customize the color (perhaps of the lines and the glow, if you want

It is acceptable to double post if you're adding new content later, like reviving an old thread because your level/graphics/whatever has been updated and such. It is also okay to 'bump' a thread that no one has responded to for some time.

Anyway, just follow the form, just the same as signatures.

Lol, rule (clauses, I think they're called.)

I'd like a userbar.
Details:

-Text type- Just like a userbar's type. If you don't know what a userbar is go here: http://www.signaturebar.com/userbars/ or I will detail what it is... It's the EE font with black outlining it, like my signature's pictures.
-Colors- Matrix-style=random symbols falling down in lines (not animated)
-Text- EE lover
-Special preferences- The EE smiley on a diagonal tilt: \ and it's like bigger than the userbar so you can only see part of the smiley.
-Size- Width= 530. Height= 19. Pixels
-Special properties- I don't understand what you mean by special properties, but none.

Here ya go, jeremifer! The symbols are the 'arcane runes' pack, I downloaded it from obsidian dawn. I used all of the symbols but two, and then added an outer glow to it. Tell me if you want anything changed!
