Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Some useless sprites i made.
EDIT: they were useless until i made an animation with them anyway.

Try using the standing pose inbetween the stepping poses. I've seen this done and it usually makes the walking more smooth. The way it is now, it sorta seems like the image is just being flipped back and forth. Animations should have at least 3 frames, I think, unless if it's a small action.
right, ill make a mental note, standing between stepping, ok ill give it a go.

You might want to work out the legs a little more in the walking poses, too. Right now it looks like his legs go big small big small. Try working with the shoes. A person's shoes don't stay in the same position when they walk, they tilt up and down.
ok before the post above i made this with the standing between steps.
EDIT: and the legs are the same size i just positioned them wrong. one is lower than the other when out in front.

Looking better, but the legs look like they're glued together and the way he bobs his head makes it look more like a limp.
EDIT: Also look where his pants meet his shirt. It shifts up and down a lot.

The funny thing is ee art is considered nubby on places like pixel joint compared to stuff like this:

i havent noticed the bit where his shirt and pants joint thing moves up and down. i guess i still have a lot of editing to do.
Thanx for pointing all this out. U lot are really helpful.
EDIT 2: I cant help but feel that this should be in the off topic section, the animation ideas and whatnot i mean.
