Varoius things I do - ECC's Arts n' Crafts

I like making things, be it written, drawn, or even constructed. I dont expect myself to do much with this topic, but here is a start:

why don't you try making art without gaps in? you could make stuff look better

I do both the 'graffiti' style and the hard shapes style, though I have a preference for my graffiti as I do not have to spend 6 hours of a piece when I can spend only 15-30. I have much more work then what I have shown, but the levels are long lost, or the screencaps I took are gone. Its not as if I like doing things fast. Well I do, but its more of a case of me having a moment of brief inspiration, and I need to get everything in my head into the world before its gone. There is that, then there is my physical limitations on time. I do have a job, along wither other obligations.

on another note: most of what you see here thus far is from 3+ months before the time of posting. With exceptions of course. My style has taken turns over the time I have spent at this game, and if I could feature all of what I have done, you would have no reason to complain (:. Most of my early stuff favored the darker colours and subtle shapes and designs brought out by minimalistic work.

fun fact: the first two worlds(featured side by side in image 1) were both done in under 30 minutes, with one of them taking approximately only 17. Limitless eye, the one that took longer, started off as me attempting to draw a glowing golden item in a cave, then quickly as things started going wrong, turned into what it is now: a strange eye. Dreamworld is on the other hand, exactly what it is. It is based on a dream I had about a community of 'inmates'(troubled children abandoned by their parents and thrown to some wilds) who instead of creating anarchy, create a organized town. ~ really should write that into a book.

I checked out your profile, you have some pretty nice stuff. I agree with treejoe4 though, it would look nice if you made a more complete art. I mean I guess the graffiti style is kinda ok, but I think you could improve the style if you filled in all the blocks, but just make the picture kinda blurry. Kind of like monet:

I updated it with a single image. The level is incomplete and I was very limited. It was my first attempt at bringing level design and artistic value together. If your willing, just click the link. It should be self updating if I understand imgur.

Added descriptions to each. Again, for those complaining that I dont do solids, understand I have a very unique style that I have yet to find anywhere else in the digital world we have made here at EE. Also, note that I do have solids, but most of them are lost to EEs newbies and trolls. On another note, I'd love to start moving the images into my own levels, but find EE artist to not work at all. I believe either an update killed the program, or my total inexperience is leaving me without a vital detail. If someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction, I would be quite happy to be able to move my work over.

and because I get the question alot: No I dont use EEartist for making the images. I recently attempted to get a copy so I may move my work over.

I like the art - especially the eye. The colors make me think of a dragon or some other reptile. Keep it up.

And I have been very busy. It is likely that it may actually be my work in most levels. If you can post links, I am willing to concede on this.

I'll be working on another soon. Actually, if I dont choose to shower/bed instead, I'll be doing it after I finish stalking some forums and stuff.(-1 hour life. Reason: imgur XD )
