Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Poems by Pyro

These are just a few poems I wrote a while ago, actually quite a while ago, enjoy or whatever

Lightning.

Strikes with anger, placing fear in the hearts of the grass and the trees;
causing destruction.
Combining with the mournful wail of the wind in a painful chorus.

Strikes with the wrath of death,
the brilliance of a thousand diamonds.
Glittering.
Fire springs from his outstretched fingers;
his wailing, deadly arms

He wants the Earth,
if his secret be known.
He longs for the cooling springs.
The lush, everlasting green, of this ground of ours.
It longs to walk, to jump, to run...
It longs to be free.

It strikes from love.
From longing.
From hope.

Every touch that it makes,
every fire it starts,
is a glimmer of hope,
is a breath of the Earth,
ceasing it?s pain.

But every single time,
it?s forced back to the sky.
To the blue,
that never ends.
To the black of midnight that stretches on and on and on...

Every day he watches.
Watches the Earth.
Longing.
Waiting.
Waiting for his chance to reach down,
to live.

Sun Dried Land
The cracked hands work,
this sun-dried land.
His sun dried land.
Anxious to find the rest, that the cool night offers.
His dirt filled nails, bitten to the skin. The sun glares down, saying,   Work,
the sun-beaten land.

Exhausted at night,
he stumbles to his room.
His wife already sleeping,
his kids huddled around.
The fires gone out,
the man lets out a sigh,
he longs for his family each day,
as he works that land.

He gazes at his hands.
Brown, and cracked.
Hard and dirty.
Cold.

The next day he rises, the sun glaring down.
He reaches for his hat,
he steps out his door.
and gazes, at his life.
He thinks back to about twenty years ago.
Just a little boy then, eight or nine.
Couldn?t wait to get his fathers pride,
this land, this house this sun beaten land.

He thinks back to his teen years,
he worked hard, couldn?t wait for this chance.
The chance to work this sun dried land.

He sighs.

The Wind.

The wind blows from the South. Over villages and deserts. Over towns and houses. Over the little girl who?s mouth is sealed shut by the terrible sickness that took her young voice out of her throat. That left her tongue dry.

The wind blows from the East, over the sprawling hills and tumbling streams that flow like thunder over the sharp rocks, each cutting it like a knife, shredding it repeatedly like paper. It blows over the beautiful ocean and still waters. The sun reflecting and refracting off the surface of the still water like a shine of a golden coin.

The wind blows from the West, over the sun-cracked land of the cowboys. The land of the chicken wings, and of deep-fat-fry. They wind blows over the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

The wind blows from the North. It blows over the freezing cold land, the land of ice and wind. It blows over the home of Jack Frost, it blows over the few people who dare venture near. It blows on their backs, helping them along their path,

The wind blows and blows, venturing further than any other entity. It soars and tumbles, and it never ceases,

For it is the job, of the wind.

I really enjoyed these poems! My favorite was the wind poem, I think it's nice when a poem focuses on multiple scenarios together.

Re: Poems by Pyro

I have one! It's a limerick:

I killed a man with my thumb.
He had a big case of some scum.
He opened the case,
And i saw his mom's face,
and that's why his face is so numb.
