The darkness engulfs the alleys of my dreams
The quicksilver fades in my palm, a lack of motivation to move on
There is where I see Him, the one whom I need the most
Yet my heart is at conflict with the human mind, inflicting not the softest yawn
Picking myself up to find better things in the space of time
Yet only reducing myself to the shambles which I escape with the sublime
Can a broken heart not be put back together from its own hammer? Alas,
I was the one who wielded the weapon the whole time

Wrote this for my friend's birthday, about one of her characters:
An Ode to a Tar Bunny
By: Calicara
Once upon a time there was a bunny made of tar
He traveled cross’ the desert over mountains great and far
Till a city he did find of turmoil and delight
Did that tar bunny plot on one fateful night
This place he molested in his vile thought
Would soon come to face the evil he'd wrought
With symphonic flames of burning desire
The agony of the peoples would grow higher and higher
And while their kin be skinned alive
On their misery he would thrive
Laughing at their naked fear
Shedding not a single tear
Oh what a plan did he contrive,
When at this city he did arrive
But bad things come to those who wait,
And so his sin he did bate
