Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I was messing around in paint, and I made some art. After I finished the first one, I realized I enjoy making this kind of art, so I made more.
NEW: Shuttle Mission
Asteroid Impact
Frozen Planet
Gas Giant
These are all 100% freehanded. Tell me what you think!

There was a thin atmosphere, but it got washed out by the other effects I put on later. Also, the orange on the surface is molten rock.

make sense

That's supposed to be the galaxy in the background. I kinda forgot to define the edges and glow...
Hmm... but kinda like add stars to make it feel more like space.
Will do. There were a few stars, but they were washed out. I will upload an improved image later.
EDIT:
How's this? Along with the stars, I changed the angle of the galaxy, and brightened the whole image.

You should be an artist for a game. If you did this in paint, I am afraid with what you could do in photoshop

Thanks! I have used photoshop before, and I love it. In my school, I have a graphics class, and I am expanding my skills a lot. My dad owns photoshop CS6 for his Apple computer, but I use a windows. If I had more free time at my school, I would be making stuff there.

Isn't that the same picture?
No, I replaced the picture on the OP too. This was the original:

Amazing! How did you draw this "freehanded"

This is really cool! Good job. :]
The planet in the background got some attention.

Thanks! I did this "freehanded" by drawing it from a blank page, without looking up any images at all. I drew the galaxy, every single star, and every little detail.
This is really cool! Good job. :]
Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

I drew it with the thinnest brush on a new layer. Then I copied it to the clipboard, pasted it on a layer behind it, moved it a pixel off, and darkened it to create the shadow effect.

Yes, but many of the tools and filters assisted me. I could have never done it without the special tools and brushes. I did draw the astronauts, the shuttle, and every single star pixel by pixel.

It would be nice you make cosmic webs.
This is a false statement.
