Nope, I don't see a problem with that. Put it in a sock. Animals in socks are always funny to watch. Especially cats. They try to walk backward out of the sock. Oh, and tell it that it's mother was a hamster and it's father smelt of elderberry.

Putting a hamster in a sock is not cruel.... running it over... okay, that's evil. But I know several hamsters who enjoy being in socks. My cat, ok, she doesn't like being in a sock, but she has insane amounts of fun after getting out.

1. Is it hollow?
2. Is there enough room for a hamster?
3. Are there no sharp, pointy objects that would impale a small animal inside the ball?
4. Are there airholes?

It's hollow? You haven't put nails through it then shut the hamster inside? It has airholes? I can be a big round ball, but be solid all the way through so you close it and you crush it.... I wish I could un-visualize that.
