Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

May 21st- Doomsday

I just saw news here on the Philippines that this May would be the Judgment day.

I want some clarification to this cause I am so confused. I know that only God knows the exact date but some specialists said that God gave us warnings and it is up to us to decode it. I have been searching for the internet about Judgment day but I am still confused.

I want to know your reactions about this.

It's impossible to predict Doomsday. If we could, everyone would try to get as much done as they could before they die. I don't know what May 21st has to do with Doomsday seeing as though it's not in 2012 to begin with.

We're getting close... but the mayan calendar is just a calendar. When it ends you know what happens? The same with our calendar. It starts over.

Re: May 21st- Doomsday

The album with the Rebecca Black song "Friday" is coming out on December 21st 2012 so I'm pretty sure that's a good sign of the end of the world.

Re: May 21st- Doomsday

Here's some recent dates where the world was supposed to end:
http://www.2think.org/hundredsheep/skep … ions.shtml

And here's some more from earlier:
http://thedaily23.blogspot.com/2010/04/ … pired.html

And here's one that's a few decades away so nobody's calling it a Doomsday date...yet:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem
(But just wait, in 2037 this one will be the new "End Of The World")

People will keep failing to predict the end of the world long after we're all in our graves. Personally, I don't waste time thinking about it. It's all a bunch of crap. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

Edit:

I'm old enough to remember all the hype surrounding Y2K. Everyone thought all the computers on the planet would crash, the Antichrist would show up, etc, etc, etc. NBC even made a crappy TV-Movie to cash in on it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0215370/

The point is, the world quickly forgets these dates after they pass. You will, too.

Re: May 21st- Doomsday

Read this and tell me it's not funny.

Harold Camping is the man behind the May 21 Judgement Day predictions, and has lead the charge in spreading the word that Jesus will soon Return. Camping is a radio personality with Family Radio from the Oakland area, who has studied the bible with great scrutiny for nearly 50 years, and in recent times discovered the code that May 21 2011 will be the day of the Rapture. He previously predicted that the Rapture would come in September of 1994, but his followers are confident that May 21 2011 is the correct date.

Translation:

Harold Camping is the man behind the May 21 Judgement Day predictions. If you're wondering why this name sounds familiar, it's because he predicted that other doomsday in 1994. Yup, it's him again, and he's back with an all new prediction. But don't worry guys, his fans believe him, so you should too.

Re: May 21st- Doomsday

Can we all please ask God to make Judgement day to be on a Monday instead of a Saturday? I don't want the world to end on a Saturday. It just doesn't seem like the right day to me.

When   the Economy is down the government makes up new doomsday myths for people to go out and buy stuff to act like they have a chance against doomsday.

Woooooo....

I'd get a Mormon to ask for us, but a true Mormon would want Rapture ASAP.
I can't ask because Catholic prayers don't work when God is in Mormon Mode. https://wiki.everybodyedits.com/images/c/c0/069_LOL

Re: May 21st- Doomsday

I just wrote a current event for school on doomsday.

This article is all about Doomsday coming next Saturday a 6:00 PM. Most people seem to not believe this because we have already passed SO many doomsday dates. This time the people that believe are 100% sure that it?s going to happen. How it?s going to happen is a huge earthquake is going to start at the international dateline and it will go around the world so it will happen at 6:00 PM everywhere. Some people that believe in this have left their families! That is how determined they are that it?s going to happen. If you go into the city, you will see billboards all over the place about Judgment Day. The people that believe are excited because that is the day we all get to go to heaven and meet God and be happy for all of Eternity. The reporter asked some people that believe in Judgment day coming soon what would they do if they were alive next Sunday. They didn?t even think of that being possible. This is pretty serious?

If I believed in Judgment Day being on May 21st, I would probably be excited too. But, I don?t really believe in it. It?s just a little too far-fetched. If it really was going to happen, as Mr. Lasher said, we wouldn?t even be in school! We would be in some guy?s apartment partying for the next 48 hours! People are probably getting a little bit nervous because those believers seem pretty convinced. A lotta people probably don?t even care because we have passed over 25 doomsday dates and none of them were true. But this time they seem to be much more confident than they did for those other times.
Let?s look at some comments on the article! ?This story really shows how pathetic CNN has become?. Obviously, this person doesn?t believe in this whole thing.   Matthew 24:36 ?But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Mark 13:32 ?But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.? I guess this means that the people that think it?s coming are wrong. They are defying the Bible here and I guess no good is coming out of this considering they believe in the bible. ?Science will fly u to the moon, religion will fly you into a building? This kid is somewhat right over here. There is no proof that any religion is real but there is loads of proof in science. I guess this concludes my current events for now.

Link to article I wrote it on:

Mr. Lasher is my Social Studies teacher //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue He's kinda crazy. But in a good way.
