*currently* he has -996 reps, 4 more and he'd be at -1,000!

Sadly, there are some noobs who have been +repping him for idiotic reasons. (Some people did it just to go against what chewy wanted)

But congrats to you chewy, because truely, you are 4 away from being at -1,000.

Re-Read the post, He's aware of the fact that chewy has 876 negative reputation. But people have given him over 100 positive rep which is going against what he wanted.

The funniest thing is I remind for -rep and yet I have more positive rep than most users. Also, I'm counting only -rep. 2 more to go!

I don't think you get it.   He already has over 1000 minus reps.   He's talking about just -reps, not total rep.
