High School

Well, i'm starting high school tomorrow.. So.. I won't be on like at all cept for weekends and thursdays..

But thats not why i'm telling you this..

Anybody older have any tips?

The best thing to do in High School is to make a good group of friends who will help you succeed. Make friends with the teachers, as some day you might want them to make college reccomendations. Always do your work, try your hardest, but still have fun.

Personally I think High School is awesome and I'm really gonna miss it. But since I am a senior I get to do all kinds of stuff like Freshman Beatdown >:D

If your school is huge, then take some time in the first few weeks to go around and check it out. (I knew where all my 2nd semester classes were in the 1st week of semester 1 )

The first year is always the worst, but once you learn your way around you'll find it to be really fun. Another tip is to get to know your counselors. Because in High School you pick your own electives like music, art, etc... you can take different types of math and science classes, and the earlier you see your counselor the better the chance of picking a class you like. Then if you don't like a class you can drop out of it and take something else instead. That's probably the best part about High School. Once you make it past 9th grade though you should be fine.

I take it you're going to be a freshman in which case my only advice is, DON'T MESS UP. No pressure, though.

lol, I cannot say how much this is important^

This past year I was in gr. 9 and I got to go to the provincial championships for Sr. Curling. and that is what brought me down in English and Math. It took forever to get my marks back up, Math was easy... (I am awesome at math).. English however, not the best... I didn't do as well, I got 73% when I was planning for 75%.

Moral of the story: What Chewy said is so important, it's not funny. :/ Don't procrastinate, and don't put everything till the last minute... because you will pay for it in the long run.   :/

My idea which you don't have to accept: Be extremely quiet the first week or two, then people will want to talk to you.

Invite them to play EE! But when I tried that they call me "bata" as in kid and "tanga" as stupid. :'( I will so sad.

I just started high school as well, and I love school (and hate majority of the people in almost all the schools I went to) all I can say is find out who your guidance consoleur is and ask him/her about your problems. Get to know your guidance consoleur as well.
School is a lot fun if you get into the school spirit (I do this horribly). So I guess join any extra activities you like to do (I play golf).

Two things:

1) You go to school to learn, not talk and joke around in class. In other words, do your work to your fullest, and take it very seriously. If you don't you'll have to learn it the hard way when you work for McDonalds after you graduate.

2) Make your own future, don't let your future make you. Know your aspirations and work toward them.

You will be the most nerd of the school because you're new... and the biggest, strongest bullies will bully you and lock you in a cabinet and stuff. And the their girlfriends will come and convince them to stop and then they will break up and one of the gf is be your gf.
