Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I was 9 years old when it happened. I live in New York and didn't even know what the Twin Towers were before this happened, or how important they were (Upstate New York is a totally separate place from New York City).
It's a horrible thing that happened, personalized mass death is never a good feeling. I had family members die in the recent Joplin tornado. When you hear about all these people dying, and someone you were close to is included in that group, it's almost worse than, say, a heart attack or a car accident. It isn't personalized. No one cares about your loved one specifically in all these tributes and moments of silence. They only care about the group they belong to now.
What separates 9/11 from, for example, the Joplin tornado, is that 9/11 was malicious by human nature. No one can blame a tornado for demolishing a city, it doesn't know any better. But you can blame the terrorists. Yes, innocent people die every day, and more people have died in other natural disasters than on 9/11, but the fact that it was 100% caused by the malice of humans is what makes it different.
I watched a video of the twin towers falling i saw a "person" jump out of the building he would rather fall to his death then be crushed by "rubble"

Osama Bin Laden shall pay.
He did, he's dead. 1xd1 Reason why people jump is because they know they are going to die, it's just that they stay and have a slow painful death, or they jump and only feel pain for a split second.

There's no way to escape a violent death. It'll feel just as horrible either way.
When you jump, (that building was the tallest in the world, remember) you are basically staring at your death. Falling for about 10-15 seconds, with the only thought in mind that you will die when you hit the ground. The slowest 15 seconds of your life, filled with terror.
Alright, I'm going to stop talking about this now...
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Not exactly, people think, their bodies will be burned or terribly crushed to oblivion. They want their family's to be able to have their bodies and bury them.
Some of my friend's fathers died in it. My father was heading towards it when it was hit, I feel so much compassion, and whoever was talking about not knowing the true sadness of 3,000 people die the other page, shut up, you can't assume that we are all just not able to feel enough compassion, because we can.
