Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think it's going to be a very awkward day, despite what actually happens.
I mean, how can you just sit there silently when some ancient civilization said the world will end? :I
I'm not saying people are going to run around for no reason, more that it'll be an awkward silence.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Yeah, like legit. I've seen dancing bananas in my life and they don't lie.
It's a fact that a dancing banana has never lied to me.

To be fair, the Mayans just stopped making a calendar on said apocalypse-day. Then a bunch of people interpreted it as a sign of the end of the world. My 2011 calendar ends on December 31st, but I'm pretty sure the world won't end that day.
But I do agree that it will be kind of an awkward day.

The Maya did pass down a graphic?though undated?end-of-the-world scenario, described on the final page of a circa-1100 text known as the Dresden Codex. The document describes a world destroyed by flood, a scenario imagined in many cultures and probably experienced, on a less apocalyptic scale, by ancient peoples (more on the Dresden Codex).
They need to date their artifacts better.
And I find it hypocritical that the link about the Dresden Codex supports 2012, when that quote was from a page saying it was all hogwash.

"The closest "END" we're gonna have next is on October 21st."
Why does it have to be so close to my birthday?
2012 is a lot different than 2000. 2011. etc. those were thought to be the end of the world more recently, and while probably a lot of people knew about them, they were under-hyped. 2012 is a lot different since it was "started" around the time of the aztecs. and almost everyone has known about it their entire lives. I don't think the world will end, but it's going to be interesting since everyone in the world will be thinking about it at the same time.
People didn't stock up on food and have emergency plans in 2000, really? People had been worrying about 2000 ever since the world didn't end in 1000.

yeah, well it ended ON my birthday! i died singing happy birthday to me!
I sware i thought i posted on this topic before. but, hear; People who could see the future mde a calendar, and eventually you would have to stop, right? So on the calendar, the year that person left off at, everyone believed would be the end of the world. Discussion over. :3
Fake
1996 = say end of world NO
2000 = say end of world NO
2004 = say end of world NO
2008 = say end of world NO
2012 you don't think its fake ?
^ exactly
Well if your a Christian ( like me ) you would know that there was only like what 4k-6k years bc to the earth has only been here for 6k-8k years, so you would'nt believe the 640,00 stuff.
Either way. i think its fake. cause the world ended in 2000 once in 2011 ( i think :O ) and so on.
This.
2012 Is just part Of a stupid mayan calender... It had to end sometime you know?
So far we have had over 15 End Of the worlds. I doubt that It will happen in 2012.

If I had a quarter every time someone said this...
Think about it for a second. Don't underestimate the Mayans. Do you really think they would just 'stop' because they ran out of materials, or for no reason at all? Of course not.
The end of their calendar marks either the end of a specific period of time or a significant event. It just so happens that it ends on the last day of their 'Long Calendar'.
Also, if you read what I said up there, you would know that the Mayans do indeed predict the end of the world with PICTURES, although undated.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Actually, yeah, pretty much.
We stop our calendars at December, it isn't because the world is going to end or that we ran out of materials...

Really, Kaos? I thought you were smarter then that. The Earth has existed for over 4.54 billion years (with an uncertainty of 1%).
And anyway, the whole 2012 thing is BS. They say the world will end every four years.
2012 ? Real.

Because other noobs say 2004, 2006, 2009, ect. All that is Bull****. 2012 has some proof, but no one knows it WILL happen.

Yes. As the bible said.
We shall never know When the end of the world will be.
If someone has said that Its gonna end in 2012 Then it is INCORRECT.
No one will EVER know when the end of the world will happen. Therefor 2012 Is fake.
EDIT: Also they did not say WHAT planet would end. For all we know it could be mars -.-

Here's an idea for you, tell me what you think. On every day, someone predicts the end of the world for tomorrow. Repeat this forever and the world can never end. Bible contradiction?
No. Only if they Truly believe it will end at that time.
The end of the world will happen in an instant When everyone least expects it.
No. Only if they Truly believe it will end at that time.
The end of the world will happen in an instant When everyone least expects it.
Hypothetical person A is gullible enough to truly believe it each and every day. So are all of his future offspring. Now what?
The "End of the world" Will come when nobody expects it..
Nobody will Even think about the world ending that day.
EDIT: And I'm not gonna argue anymore about something as stupid as 2012.

Another example of religion getting pwn't by logic.
2012 has some proof,....
Really? The only "proof" is the Mayans getting tired of making a GIANT calendar.
