Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Tired of waiting for someone to make a Minecraft server, I've decided to make my own. BUT, I need some help since this is my first time. Please try to answer the following questions:
-Is there a way to run a server without having to buy something?
-Will I have to pay for the server every now and then?
-Will servers work the same for Macs?
-What programs are there that let you run a server?
I will update the OP if I need more information.
-You can Run a Server off your Own computer.. But be aware - Unless you have a Very Fast computer with alot of RAM, This might not be a great Idea.
-Not if you are Running it yourself - If you purchase a Server, you'd most-likely get a Monthly Fee.
-I believe so, Unless if you're going to try to run the Server OFF a mac.
-Minecraft has all the necessary scripts/files to run a server for free (Off your own computer) on the same Download page as if you were to Download the Game.
What Scythe said. You can download the server utility, but your computer will have to compensate for both your connection and the connections of others. It needs to have the power to process the actions of as many people will join at once.
I hate tall signatures.
Offline
i can host one for you
if it doesnt work
