Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The person you wish to be in a relationship with. That is the only requirement in my eyes, other than painfully obvious ones.

Why does it always come down to rape? That's just pathetic, It's the same if I was 25 and I liked a 16 year old girl.. You assume I like her because of rape or I'm a paedophile..
Just because they are young, and you are older, that automatically makes it bad or wrong. But what if I loved her because of who she is, and not what she is?

If you have a relationship and you're under 16, that's ok - but I don't think it's a "real" relationship.
16 and Over, that's more realistic because then the relationship actually means something. What can you do in a relationship with people under 16?

The only love I believe in is between a man and his left hand

on a more serious note...
you don't need to love someone to be in a relationship with them, lol

why can't two individuals like each other's company on an emotional and possibly physical level yet not having little to no attachment?
That being said I like the rule where you half your age and add seven and that's the youngest you should date

My boyfriend is 19, I'm 17, he could go to prison for being with me, does that sound right?

age shouldn't be set in stone like that
some people aged 25+ are less mature than others age 15

Re: "Right and wrong" in relationships

Ok. I'm going to squeeze in here.

First of all, this is completely sick. Mods, I don't give a F*ck if you ban me, ban me then. I DON"T CARE. THIS IS COMPLETELY nd UTTERLY sick. I WILL flame, if its the only way to get my opinion heard? Ok?

If you are 18 and in a relationship with a 10 year old girl, ITS NOT ONLY ABOUT YOU. You have to think about her frikin parents. HOW MUST THEY FEEL? If some creepy pedo (YES i said pedo) guy was always with my sister.. I would be scared for her. Stop ONLY thinking about yourself.

ALSO. ITS. ILLEGAL. THAT is a perfectly good reason not to do it. I dont' know what it is with some people that they think they can completely avoid the law.. Like its not above them. But reality flash, IT IS. SO deal with it..

Now lets get one thing straight. I'm a Christian, and I personally don't think homosexuality is right, becuase the Bible says its not. But i keep my mouth shut about that. But THIS? This is completely sick.. Probably the sickest thing i've heard in a while.

This made me angry and sad, that there are actually people like this out there.

Now, idc what happens next, ban me, w/e.. Goodbye.

Re: "Right and wrong" in relationships

I doubt 10yo's know what relationships are completely.

Let them grow up a little bit so they can make a clear-headed decision.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I find this topic vulgar with a big lack of decency and on the wrong forum, yet mods agree with this topic without any problems, even knowing here most of the users are minors. put a damn 18+ on off topic or just go to a mature forum and discuss your indecent opionions and problems.

"gay", "homosexuality", "lesbian", "sex", "pedho", "****", "dirty ****", "suck me off", "mouthsex", "rape".   NICE. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/neutral funny some here defend what is right for kids...yet no one is reporting this.

I'm not saying it's right, just that it is. Although, you have to admit, something is wrong with that picture.

I see no reason to shield kids from this kind of language. It's only bad because society says so, not for any concrete reason.

Why would he go to prison? It's only illegal for a 19 year old to date somebody you is 14 years or younger in age. There has to be a five year difference, and the accused must be over 18 and dating a minor in order to be convicted.

I find that highly offensive.   I have found that us atheists, agnostics, etc., have as good, if not better morals than religious folk.   You hear about popes and priests touching the altar boys, but never does this come on the news: "A local atheist, convicted of molesting a little boy!"   Replace atheist with religious leader, and that'd be more like it.

I thought it was X/2+5=A, where X is the non-minor's age and A is the minimum legal age.   So, say X is 19.   19/2=9.5+5=14.5, rounded up to 15.   So Alex would be technically legally okay with a person 15 or over.

nvm //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile I feel here like don Quijote, obviously my point of view about this on a forum full of adolescents is nothing but wrong and probably way too conservative. Still I doubt that in...let's say 10-20 years from now you will think the same. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: "Right and wrong" in relationships

I still don't really agree with being in a relationship in a child - just like other people said on here they are not mentally and physically developed for that yet.

Echo! wrote:

(I know what you're a thinking,: "a girl of that age is to young to know about relationships", well you're wrong, as kids grow up more faster these days, than you think)

I still don't really like this statement - when I was 10 I didn't even know what sexual intercourse was, and I've never met a young boy or girl who had any knowledge of it, either. Not saying love=sex, of course, but like I said, children aren't mentally developed enough to know what true love between two people is. I just don't think you know what you're talking about here.

Also, sure kids are "growing up faster these days", but think of it: don't you think we're growing up the wrong way? I had a "friend" in school about a year ago who was introduced to sex in a way that was completely wrong and unnatural and was mostly the source for most my knowledge on sexuality, but I kept to my wits and decided to ask my mom what it really was about. I was nervous, of course, but she explained it more clearly and in a way that was more natural. People tend to gain this sort of knowledge from their friends & peers and then grow up to be stupid teenagers - at least that's what goes on around here, anyway. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

Anyone feel free to point out any flaws in my paragraph, because I'm interested in learning anything from this conversation. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

^ Well mainly from where I'm from, the kids think they know everything about sex, and are always kissing and hugs each other, and think they know it all, and they are like 8-10..

I completely agree with you, that kids are not mentally or physically ready, but if they wanted, I think they should have A choice if they wanted.

You can't possibly be arguing that religious people are more than or equally as likely to be in a relationship with a child than an irreligious person.
