Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Well they've gotta be a minority. Macs are horrible computers for people who actually know what they're doing on one. Yeah, they're nice for making things look pretty, but that's about it. They're horrible for gaming, they're not customizable at all, and the programing language is so convoluted and limited. I really dislike macs, I'm sorry.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but everything you just said about Macs being bad, horrible for gaming, not customizable... is all rubbish. Macs are better for gaming because they have better graphics, and they are 100% customizable. You can do anything a PC can do on a Mac, only better... //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink

It actually isn't rubbish. A shinier interface =! better graphics. The fact that you're buying basically everything from Apple makes it 0% customizable, and you most certainly cannot do everything you do on a PC on a mac. Have you ever noticed how there's a PC version and a mac version for most software out there? Macs didn't even have access to Microsoft Office until a few years ago, when Microsoft released the source code to Apple after years of fans begging for it. There's a reason why the LHC uses PCs instead of Macs.

That^ Also, have you EVER heard of a Mac getting a virus? If you have, give me proof.

They run on an older processing unit thingy, which is why they aren't susceptible to them. Modern PC's run on newer ones, which are able to get them. Let alone, the PC's need you to download all these "security" programs to protect them. Being an avid Mac user, they DON'T need those programs and I have yet to experience a viral attack on my computer.

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you post things... You NEED to have a Mac to be able to KNOW what a Mac does... and don't get me started on software for different platforms... You say that they made Office for Mac because the fans said so? No. Microsoft decided to make a version for Mac. There really is no need for it because you can transfer files to a PC in different formats from Apple's Word Document Program: Pages. The same goes for Keynote and Numbers (spreadsheet program). Also, let me bring you to a very popular music library program: iTunes. iTunes can be downloaded for Mac AND PC. That was a decision made by Apple because there were suggestions sent to Apple to make iTunes available for PC. There's also a reason why Macs are better than PC's (well, two main reasons): 1. Macs are faster even with many files on it. and 2. MACS DON"T GET VIRUSES.

And there's the whole "Macs don't get viruses" line. Remember: It isn't the COMPUTER that prevents viral attacks. It's the MARKET. Apple has a very small share in the market. Microsoft, on the other hand, has a HUGE share in the market. So most viruses are designed for Windows for that reason, not because a PC is easier to attack, but because there's more of a reason to do so than for a mac. So yes, go ahead and celebrate your "no viruses" victory. But remember that it isn't at all because macs are better computers.

Re: Steve Jobs has passed today. ( 10 / 5 )

So, will his money go to american people and help america paying its debts, or will it just go to his 3 children that already have much more than they need ? Or maybe it'll go to Apple's stockholders that will continue making way too much money while people die everywhere around the world because they can't satisfy their vital and basic needs ?

My best friend actually has a mac, and I've used it on countless occasions, so your argument is invalid.

Anyways, the only reason why people wanted iTunes for PCs was not because Apple makes superior software. Not at all, actually. It was for the iPod, which, of course, is the most popular portable music player. Why? I have no idea. You can't argue that an iPod is any better than the average MP3 player. It's a status thing. Apple has a very strong marketing strategy for iPods, so more people buy them, and because more people buy them, there was more of a demand for iTunes for PC users. Not because iTunes is good, but because it's the ONLY program you can use for your iPod, which speaks volumes for Apple's compatibility issues.

And I GUARANTEE you that my PC runs faster than your mac. GUARANTEED.

The iPod is the most innovative idea in the world. PERIOD.

and your "guarantee" that your PC runs faster than my Mac is complete BS. Macs are even faster than PC's... Why do you think that he only dual Platform computers are run on a Mac? Because they are faster. Start-up is faster, shutting down is faster, it's all FASTER.

So, your whole argument is completely invalid.

this is a software that people download, hard to avoid that. it's the peoples fault for downloading it. not the mac's fault.

Haha! I can tell you one thing his money WON'T go to! Charities. Steve Jobs, although one of the wealthiest men in America, donated NOTHING to charities, as opposed to Bill Gate's "Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation," one of the largest charitable foundations in the WORLD!

And his money ALSO won't be going to the sweatshops with ABYSMAL working conditions that Apple has in China.

That's pretty much how 99% of the viruses infect PCs.
