Did sarcasm start with one person? Or was it always used and it just become more popular over time?

It is a response that to the first person tageted it sounded like the person was being nice to them even though what ever they were doing/done was rubbish; yet it would have existed for a long time just not not given a name, and there was probably no such thing as purpose sarcasm.

Well, it's a philosophy question, actually.
Reminds me my philosophy class about language when I was 18. And I'm going to link wiki again

So, I guess irony and sarcasm come natturaly to a species when this species as an evolued language. Sarcasm imply that you should be able to understand a context and a common cultural background with the people you're talking with, which is something that natturaly appear after the apparation of an evolued language. I don't think cats/dogs are sarcastic, but they definitly have a language on their own. ( even facial language, like showing your teeth to show you're angry or to threaten your opponent ).

Sarcasm itself I expect has existed since humans started speaking in whatever way they spoke when they first started speaking. Even grunting probably involved rolled eyes.

No, it wasn't invented, infact one day someone pooped out a sarcasm, so it was formed by the digestive system, not by people. It wasn't even invented, just....poop.
