Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

How many of your Christmas Wishes came true?

Well... I wished for a 3DS and I got it (+ Mario Kart 7!)
So mine came true!

And yours?

Re: How many of your Christmas Wishes came true?

I wanted an Objective-C programming book, and I got a Barnes and Noble gift card. So I went to Barnes and Noble and spent my accumulated $75 in gift cards on a C programming book and an Objective-C programming book, $40 each. So I had to add a bit of cash. I didn't actually tell anyone else I wanted one though because last time someone tried to buy me a book about programming, it was from the pragmatic bookshelf, meaning it essentially teaches you nothing.

What's the point of wishing for something that has absolutely no chance of ever coming true in the history of ever? World Peace will never happen, and praying to god or Santa Claus or whoever isn't going to change crap.
And you're insulting us for being selfish, when you (along with everyone else in the world) can't even care about more than 148 people. You want something for several million people (that's a statistic) you don't even know, and most definitely can't care about. You don't care much if some little African child is slaughtered by his mother, because you cannot connect to someone outside that 148. That's actual science, just so you know. Cracked has an article about it. So does wikipedia.

"One death is a tragedy. One million deaths is a statistic."
-Kevin Federline
Those one million mean nothing to you, so why even bother? By the way, you mean nothing to them, either. They won't care if you were the one who brought them world peace.

So why should we even try to care if we physically can't? Calling us 'selfish noobs' can't change that fact. Are you trying to rub it in our faces that you're a 'better person' than us just because you're hopelessly optimistic and want to pretend to want world peace just to try to have a better light shining on you for being so unselfish? Trying to seem deep? Go to Darfur or Rwanda or some other place and try to actually help, instead of calling people selfish noobs for not being as much as a philanthropist as you. Why try to make x million people happy with no assurance that they will be happy, instead of asking for something to make one or more people happy with a guarantee? I'd much rather have guaranteed happiness of one than a chance of happiness for x million, because then it makes whatever you did pointless because it has a chance of no one at all being happy. But I suppose seeing life as that way shows a lot about my personality, and I feel I've written way too much for such a simple topic.

1. It was a joke.
2. Just because most can't connect doesn't mean that all can't.

4. I got Saints Row: The Third, MW3, and Portal 2.   And Jon Stewart's book, and Stephen Colbert's book, and other crap.

1. Didn't seem like it.
2............ /facepalm.
You literally cannot, I repeat, it is physically impossible for anyone of the species 'Homo sapiens' to connect on personal levels with more than 148 people. IT. IS. IMPOSSIBLE. Don't give me that 'most' crap. It is completely and utterly impossible to do so, it goes against the limits of our capabilities. You cannot maintain a stable social relationship with more than 148 people at one point in time.
3. I agree.
