Minecraft Problem

I've wanted Minecraft for so long now, and I finally bought it, but it keeps giving me this weird "OpenGL error" thing.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Either that, or describe your error past "OpenGL error". That's vague. Can your computer into gaymen?

Well, after I log in, the screen goes black for about 15 seconds, and then a blue screen with the minecraft logo has a box of text saying:

Bad video card drivers!        
        -----------------------        

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

I'll tell you I had the same problem, so apparently the newest version of Minecraft updated the way they display their texture. This requires Open GL 1.3 I think.
1. Update your driver
2. Back date your Minecraft to version 1.7.3 if you don't know how go to this topic download the program and the patch files for Minecraft version 1.7.3 and follow their directions.

Just trying to help I'm playing at 1.7.3 because I can't go any higher, I still have as much fun as I do playing the higher versions, I just can't play online but I don't anyways.

Is this still happening with 1.0.0? Try emailing support@mojang.(com/net/org), they help if they deem the issue worthy. They're all at minecon, though, so don't expect a speedy response.

Just email all 3 domains (mojang.org/net/com). I'm pretty sure it's org, but there's no harm in trying all of them. For your own good.

You know just forget it, my dad's gonna e-mail his friend (he's a computer expert) and he'll just laugh and say "AHAHAHA dude all you gotta do is blah blagh blaghhh" and all that crap.

I guess you graphics card is very old or something?
(mine is pretty old as well, but it can run Minecraft just finely without any error)

Okay, so my dad's friend says I need a new Video Card Driver, so he's looking online right now, and when he gets one we'll be taking the computer there to install it. ??H??o??o??r??a??y??   BOOOOOO for NVIDIA!!
