Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So, I made some pixel art, and I admit, it may not be the best, but it literally took me 2 hours to make. It's completely home made, btw.
Here you go!
(I mainly made it because I was bored, then I noticed it would make a good avatar. So, yea. A slight bit of humor is in it.)
Feedback? Things I did well? Next steps? Please answer.

Okay, well, you asked for feedback, so I'm going to give you feedback. Don't blame me for being really negative.
First things off, I'm going to start with the positive. It's good, considering you made it from scratch, because I honestly can't make anything decent from scratch, and I in fact used bases on all my pixel doll animations which are linked in my signature. So good job on that.
I like how you have some subtle shading. The blood on the pig looks nice.
Now for the negative.
Okay, first of all, the shoulders. There's a lot of excess outline there and it looks so unnecessarily blocky when it could be a lot rounder.
The outline shouldn't be so thick, in my opinion, especially on something so small.
I have a comparison here, with rounded shoulders and with a thinner outline.
Arms should be mid thigh length, and not above the waistband.
That pig looks a lot like a poptart. I wouldn't be able to tell what it is if it wasn't labeled.
There shouldn't be so many blood droplets coming from the sword. It looks as if it's raining blood. It wouldn't drip that much, and nor would it be from the tip, it would be at that edge where it tapers off, especially if it's held at that angle.
Speaking of the angle of the sword, that doesn't even make sense. Swords are a lot heavier at the blade than the hilt, so it would be near impossible to hold it parallel to the ground.
Also, why is the sword floating by his hands, as opposed to actually being on it. Did you just mirror part of it?
All in all, it's really good for someone who isn't too experienced in pixeling, and I know I'm just nitpicking for most of it, but feedback is feedback no matter how harsh it is.
I suppose you could work on your floating object syndrome.
Either way, good job.

Cool.
I do this sometimes. But there not so square. It's good for a first time!
I <3 Pixel art, I should share it someday
Pretty much what Zoey said, Its great for homemade, One of my friends who does anime is big on all the "realism" as how the sword shouldn't be at that angle, arms should be right length, etc
But its still good
Player Since 2011. I used to make bots and stuff.

I love this feedback, this is the type of stuff I wanted, thank you. I got tired near the sword and the pig so those were the crappiest things on there.
I mostly made it cause I was bored, but now I can make it alot better next time. Thank you.
Cool.
Thanks?

Good to see you like pixel art, so do I.
You agree with Zoey, ok, as I said though, I got tired near the end.

What the hell? No he doesn't, or atleast that wasn't my intentions. I don't feel this was a really needed post. I wish you would've kept this to yourself. I didn't think he had one and neither did anyone else.

Errr... It's minecraft, so, that makes the curved shoulders unrealistic and the sword... Well, I've never seen it on Minecraft. Anyway that is cool.
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

I just made it cause I was bored, I didn't even think of minecraft when I made it. You can't tell me what it is when its not.

I think it looks awesome. Just my thoughts on how to make the picture work. Sword could be made of lighter material in the blade (I'm being unrealistic to make the physics there work) like aluminum, while a hilt made of a heavy wood (not saying it has to be as dense as snake wood or anything like that) or heavier metal wrapped in a thick animal hide could change the balancing point of the sword. To prove why the sword is parallel and not touching the ground, the sword could have a second hilt coming out the back of the first hilt adjacently (so the sword looks like an L or more probably a T [flip the T upside down to understand what I'm saying). Love the bloody piggy! Guess the blood on the pig clotted really quickly for that much blood to drip from the blade. Nice "cube person" and overall nice picture.

Why thank you! Due to the feedback I'm getting I might even make a better yet polished version!
