Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Ear Infection?

I recently got a pretty bad cold, but now it's over.

Last night around 3:00AM my ear started popping. It ached a lot. I couldn't sleep very well and went to school tired.

Around 3:00PM I noticed my right   ear was ringing loudly. Sounds seemed unbalanced. I did a few quick tests and concluded that I'm half deaf.

My right ear can't hear a thing. Just a loud, irritating ringing noise.

Is this normal? How do I get rid of it?

Re: Ear Infection?

I suggest you go to the doctor. If you start noticing a thunder like sound in your ear followed by a ton of liquid coming out, you almost definitely have an ear infection. They have some medicine, but you need a prescription. So I'd say a doctor is the best idea.

Re: Ear Infection?

Yes, the doctor will give you medicine.

I had an ear infection a couple years ago. Horrible experience. I got 0 sleep until 6:00 AM in the morning, and the medicine nearly made me throw up.

The best way to prevent it is to not touch your ears at all.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I'm going to the doctors tomorrow.

Will I be able to get sleep tonight? It was bad enough being exhausted for one day.

I agree. Go to a doctor (or pediatrician depending how old you are). If you think it's really serious try finding a specialist maybe an audiologist?

Re: Ear Infection?

I've just gone to the doctor and have gotten a prescription.

The doctor says it will take a week for my ear to clear out.

Seriously... a week? Has anyone else here had an ear infection? If so, how long did it take?

I feel like crying right now. One more week of deafness and earaches. Hate to think about how long it would take without medicine. I'm probably gonna go insane around day 5 -_- .
