The Costa Concordia is a cruise ship that famously crashed, the captain of which has been making flimsy excuses. I am pretty sure everyone here knows about it. So I am not going to explain any further.
My view: I just met two people that were on the ship when it crashed (what a small world!) and what a story they can tell their friends. What happened, slightly altered, with interesting stuff in red and bold:
*I walk into PetsCo to pick up foster puppies who are so tiny and so cute and in my lap right now, sleeping*
Mother of me: Hey XPutNameHereX (Weird how my family does that...), these people were on the Cruise ship when it crashed!
Guy: Sup.
Me: Wow. That's pretty cool.
Guy: Yeah, I was like, what was that noise, and the ship felt like it was turning. Luckily I'm a boat guy, and I knew that we had crashed (4 miles off course) because the ship wasn't rocking, it just stayed tilted. So we were like, "Let's get out. Now." There were crew people telling us to sit down and that everything was OK (In Italian), but we could not care less, and we were just like, ok, whatever. *Sneaks out door*. Then we packed a bag, waited 45 minutes at the lifeboats (on what was then the low side, but for some reason is now the high side) then the alarm sounded, and we got on. Then we were brought to this island, and I shared a bunch of my clothes with people because they didn't have time to bring anything. [Yeah bro!]. We didn't have our passports with us, so we had to go through the embassy, but when we got to Tuscany, embassy people from almost every country were there...except for America [Really America?, I can almost smell the Anti-America posts coming...]. So we had to go through a bunch of stuff but took a flight back as soon as we could. Oh yeah, and we were gonna get off at the next stop because the cruise itself was really, really terrible.
*My family and he and his wife get our puppies, really small ones, that are so cute, and we adore them together*
Guy: PUPPIES MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER! I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CRUISE ANYMORE!!!
