Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Short version of who Kony is [By NigaHiga]
Here's a few quotes from the article, just in case you're still too lazy to click it.
Kony is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a guerrilla group that has forced more than 60,000 children to fight in a murderous armed conflict lasting more than two decades.
Kony's fighters have been accused of murder, rape, torture and sexual enslavement. Reports say they have massacred civilians inside churches, forced them off cliffs, burned them alive and even made them eat dead bodies.
And many of them are carried out by brutalised children recruited to serve as sex slaves, cannon fodder and killers.
"I was ordered to stab a woman three times," one young LRA soldier told Foreign Correspondent in 2006.
"If she didn't die I would be shot myself. So I stabbed her three times and others bashed her."
Kony's private war has forced thousands of civilians to flee for their lives.
Throughout the region, families who have survived the LRA onslaught live a precarious existence in makeshift refugee camps.
The UNHCR reported that 10,000 people fled LRA attacks in less than two months in 2010.
"Those who are abducted are used as porters, forced to work in the fields or used as sex slaves or new recruits."
-
So basically, Kony is a guy who leads an army that has children forced to kill other children, their parents, and a lot of other people. Children are abducted for this army. Girls are sold as sex slaves.
The purpose of this topic is to spread awareness. Spread the documentary.

No.
Did anybody care about little Uganda children then? No.
Will anybody care about little Uganda children soon? No.
Also, the company that make the 30 minute video has only donated around 31% of the profit they've made.

Before you guys go out supporting it you should do research. A youtuber named xkapownd has a very insightful video on the truth of KONY 2012. It states very good facts that will definately prove to convice anybody, and I'm a very hard woman to convince.

Yes, and the clips shown in the video are from 2003 to 2004, there is no hardcore evidence that he is still alive, I believe that they have lost their cause for this non-profit organization.
Kids are very sensible and I feel like this guy running KONY 2012 knows this. He is posting this on the internet where teenagers believe a lot of the things they read. I'm sure that he knows the majority will not go out of their way and research what they are truly supporting.

I watched the documentary... this is just sad. This must be stopped.

Not to mention that it tries to turn a very deep and complex problem into a black/white issue.
66% of the money that goes to Invisible children are used for planetickets and equipment to make more movies about this. The other 34% goes to the Ugandian army. The Ugandian army is barely even using the money for the cause that it should be. Some of the money goes to equip the army with better weapons and to improve it. But improving the army is what Invisible children wants, they want to solve this "conflict" with Kony using military means. Which means that to get to Kony they will need to take care of his army first. Meaning that many children will be killed and isn't the goal to save the children? Not to kill them.
Now, Kony isn't even in Uganda anymore. He hasn't even done something since around 2006. He's laying low in some barracks in Sudan if I'm correct. (Not sure if it is Sudan). So why give money to the Ugandian army? They can't even get to Kony where he is they only spend the money on improving their army and for other things that aren't helping the cause.
So the money that is given to The Invisible Children could be distributed better and we should have better check on what the money is used on. As long as the money is used in the wrong way and as long as they are supporting a military solution you shouldn't support Invisible Children.
But hear this, they aren't after personal gain. They want to help the people, but they are doing it in the wrong way.
I saw some people call this sad, and they said that we need to stop Kony. So now you care? If you care now, why haven't you cared for every other warlord in Africa that does this? Kony isn't the first one and such things has been going on for a long time. Think about the majority and not just this one thing. I would say that if they captured Kony all the people who claimed themself to be activists and said that they supported the cause of stopping such things would just forget about every other warlord. They would simply return to their own lifes until someone else came along with something like Kony2012. They wouldn't support a similar cause on their own free will, since they weren't shown and informed about it. People only cared about this because the video played on their emotions, making them feel like bad people unless they were a part of the majority who spread the word.
So please people, don't just think about this one thing. Think of it all, think of the whole picture not just one part and always seek out information before you decide on anything.
Geez, why did I even log in to say this. I don't even give a F.u.c.k.
Bye.

I feel like everyone's against this topic. Do not want. Also, all I've done is just add a bunch of stars to a flip on flipnote hatena just because my favorite creator would get another popular flip, I posted it on facebook, just because I haven't posted on facebook yet this week, and I posted it here because I didn't want some nub posting some stupid incorrectness that says how terribad he is. I watched about 2 minutes of the documentary, and sort of listened to an additional 4 minutes, so I haven't watched the entire thing. I posted three links (for people to educate themselves), quoted a link, and then summarized it in three sentences, so my opinion isn't really valid anyway.
I still am not sure as to who Kony is or why I'm supposed to be sharing it, I'm just sharing it and I don't have an opinion on it. That makes me sound a bit like a sheep, which is okay because sheep are cute. (although morally, I don't think that's too okay.)
Although, I did laugh a lot at nou's comic.
So to be honest, I don't feel completely biased against Kony. He's not a Hitler, although that doesn't make him any better, you know? Just because there's worse things out there doesn't make him any better.
And also, the internet is a powerful tool when used correctly, so who knows what may happen due to the fact that there's x views on the Kony video.
So what the hell, I'm just spreading this for fun, I guess.
And I think I once saw someone say that the Ugandan army are also a problem and are sort of corrupt, so we're potentially creating a worse problem. I've read that Invisible Children is a scam, but I've read about other things that are supposedly scams so the information is pretty muddy.

Just no,this is too sad.Our science class saw the video of Kony2012 today, pretty dramatic.
My arguement is summed up in one meme.
Now could we just move on? Let the government deal with the problem, please? I'm tired of this terrible arguement everywhere. Its spammed out my twitter, facebook and youtube. I understand that its a big problem, now just stop. Its all probably a scam. I just want to keep in touch with friends and watch my share of videos but I cant with this stupid Kony 2012 buisness.
