Theatre/Musicals

So who here like theatre? Yes, I spell theatre with the snooty "re" ending. I've starred in many school plays such as classics like The Importance of Being Earnest, The Miracle Worker, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Antigone, and I Assistant-Directed the musical Into the Woods. Who else here likes to act? Or even do the technical stuff like lights, sound, set design, costume, hair/makeup, etc...?

I like plays and musicals, but I'm not one to be in Theatre Arts or be in the spotlight. I think controlling the lights would be neat, but I haven't had the opportunity to actually do it.
I've seen Arsenic and Old Lace at my school, and The Lion King musical at a theatre, and I'm currently obsessing over Repo! The Genetic Opera and The Devil's Carnival which are both fantastic musical films.

I love me those lights and sounds. Done a few plays.

I prefer making/writing/directing/acting in movies to plays.   But they're cool too.

i like humor plays such as "the book of mormon" and "spamalot".

You guys really need to watch The Importance of Being Earnest, if anyone in town is performing it. It's a hilarious, timeless piece.
